Governor Palin has more experience than the democrat presidential nominee, Barack Osama. Unless you think that a couple of years as a "community organizer" prepares you for the presidency!

Perhaps if the democrats are concerned about experience, they should swap their #1 and #2's?

How many times have we heard about Michelle Obama not loving her country or being proud of her country?

I'm sure these same people will be deeply concerned about Todd Palin being a registered member of a sescessionist party for a number of years.

The Beltway Boys

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1220397190008...

Even as the Obama camp ponders how best to handle John McCain's veep pick of Sarah Plain, the high priests and priestesses of the media have marked her as an apostate. The Beltway class is in full-throated rebellion against a nondomesticated conservative who might pose a threat to their coronation of Barack Obama and the return of Camelot-on-the-Potomac.

Here is a sampler of media comment on Governor Palin this week:

- Eleanor Clift, the McLaughlin Group: "If the media reaction is anything, it's been literally laughter in many places across newsrooms."

Sally Quinn, Newsweek: "It's a political gimmick..."

Maureen Dowd, New York Times: "They have a tradition of nominating fun, bantamweight cheerleaders from the West."

... We are intructed that Mrs. Palin isn't qualified, because she lacks Washington experience. But until recently that was said to be a virtue in Mr. Obama, who is at the top of the ticket.

...

more at online.wsj.com ...

She was vetted and McCain knew about the pregnancy. McCain has told the press this over and over and the MSM keep peddling their BS story that McCain didn't know.

Translation: Not corrupted by lobbyists yet.. and probably not buy-able.. meaning no amount of money or honors will corrupt her personal HONOR.. Washington should be afraid of Momma Bear.. no telling what a momma bear will do..

From the article:
"that questions about her daughter's pregnancy are an invasion of privacy and that criticism of her experience as a small-town mayor is sexist.

"It's demeaning to women," said U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn"

Wait a minute, now. While I agree that what's going on with her family is nobody's business but hers, saying that questions about her qualifications are "demeaning to women" is idiotic. Every candidate should have their qualifications questioned!

To say it's demeaning to an entire demographic to question the qualifications of one single person is moronic, unless people are questioning their qualifications BECAUSE of that demographic.

It's no more sensible to say questioning Obama's qualifications is demeaning to black people, or questioning McCain's is demeaning to white male seniors. It's an attempt to manipulate political correctness in people: "Oh, my wondering if she's qualified for the job is sexist? Whoops, I guess I'd better just close my eyes and vote the way they tell me to."

Anything that makes people more informed about the folks they are voting for is a good thing, in my humble opinion.

HOLY hoop skirts: When did the clock tick back to 1958?

When Joe Biden tragically lost his wife and infant daughter in a car wreck in 1972, not a single colleague, friend or competitor advised him to quit his newly won Senate seat to raise his two little surviving sons.

Rather, he was sworn into office from the injured boys' bedside, and took to commuting an hour and a half each way from Delaware to Washington. And when Biden's second wife gave birth to a daughter, no one thought to ask him to step aside and stay home.

They all do it. John Kennedy did it; so did Barack Obama: Men run for office and serve in elected positions while creating small children without ever being patronized as "super dads" or "multi-taskers."

Nor are they penalized, ridiculed or dismissed for ignoring their kids. They're good dads.

If Sarah Palin, tapped as John McCain's running mate, were a man, it's unlikely we'd even be having this conversation.(A man, or a Democrat.)

Palin is a mother five times over. She also hunts, fishes, coaches hockey, has a day job as the governor of the state of Alaska - and is known to commute home from the state capital of Anchorage daily during session. Just like Biden.

But women on the left, who fought long and hard for the ability to raise children simultaneously with election cash, are in spasms.(Some have simply kept silent. Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton - where are you?)

The same lefty media that studiously ignored the adolescence of Chelsea Clinton can't wait to dig into Bristol Palin.

I'd also like to pull some of the media articles raving about Elizabeth Edwards' decision to continue campaigning with John Edwards after her diagnosis of cancer and despite the time it took away from her young children. And were there any suggestions by the media that perhaps John Edwards ought to stay home with his family at that time? It would make for an interesting compare-and-contrast...

So, you don't see any hypocrisy in questioning Michelle Obam's patriotism and then declaring off limits Todd Palin's registered membership in a group that wanted to secceed from the US?

It's a wonderful world you folks live in...

It's clear that McCain is trying to appeal to the bigot sector by choosing this self-proclaimed red-neck woman.(she said if she had a business she would name it "cou rouge")
It's not surprising that the sleazy McCain would have no problem using divisiness at our country's expense to get elected.
After all he said himself that his reason for wanting to be president was because of pure ambition.

Who are Barry Obama's friends?

how come he don't have nobody like Lieberman, previous associates, Thompson, military buddies etc, testifying to his personal honor, respect, accomplishments?

How about someone from the school newspaper that Barry edited coming forth and telling what a good spell-checker he was at Dartmouth?

He's a joke....for jokers!

Give the lady a moment to catch her breath. She just might end up being the best thing to come along in many-a-year. The old "benefit of the doubt" thing, you know...like they keep giving Obama the benefit of the doubt, over and over and over and over and over, etc, etc. Ah, but then the media really wants Obama and no one else, so who are we to vote or even voice our stupid opinions...the great and might media is speaking!

Palin was picked because of her anatomy. Any thinking person can see that. She was governor for what, 2 years? Mayor of Wasilla, oh boy--their biggest problem is moose vs. car. Good grief, if McCain kicks halfway through his term (not so far-fetched) she would be our president. Obama may be inexperienced but at least he'd have a good VP and sounding board.
BTW, I am not a democrat or a republican. I vote for whomever I think is best. McCain just blew it for me.
