The feeling between U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman and his Democratic opponent, Al Franken, was always raw.

You have more then two choices. People tend to forget about Barkley. I glad they gave him notice in at least one line! The same is true for the president. Nader has his name on the ballot in 45 of the 50 states. Sometimes I think that this country needs a kick in the pants and remember that there is more then 2 parties. The independent party is stronger then ever. Let's have a debate with the three candidates for Senate and see where it goes.

Norm is the biggest phony in the state. My fellow Rethuglicans hate Franken because he has stood up to their hate radio bullies in the past and exposed them for what they were/are: gasbags who pander to hate and fear. Norm was lucky he won the first time and his luck has run out. Too bad for Norm that people in Minnesota are more highly educated. The most outrageous ads I've seen are the ones sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce trying to cloud up the card check legislation. Let's see, if the Chamber of Commerce is putting on the ads that sound pro-union and lie about Franken's position, what could possibly be wrong with that picture? Norm, you're going down fast, along with Johnny McBush and Ellie Mae Clampett. I'm sure Norm's buddy's on Wall Street ($2 million in contributions to Coleman) will find Norm a job as a lobbyist to try to sneak in more tax loopholes for corrupt Wall Street firms. Yep, Norm will make the fundamentals of the American economy strong again -- Just consider his role in helping Bush make it what it is today: crippled! You can redo the teeth of a pig and put lipstick on it, but it's still a pig.

Your post does not really strike me as any more mature than that of which you complain. Maybe you have been watching too much television.

Franken is getting what he deserves. He built his career and his fortune trashing Republicans and now we are availing ourselves of the opportunity to get even.

'My fellow...'? You're an ****. Nevertheless, Franken's hate has gone wayyyyyy beyond what any conservative talk show host has done.

<< The most outrageous ads I've seen are the ones sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce trying to cloud up the card check legislation. >>

Their ads are entirely accurate.'Card check' will eliminate the right to vote on whether you must join the union.

<< I'm sure Norm's buddy's on Wall Street ($2 million in contributions to Coleman)... >>

LOL. What about Wall Street donations to Obama? They far exceed those given to McCain.

<< Just consider his role in helping Bush make it what it is today: crippled! >>

The economy is on the ropes today because of Barney Frank and Chuck Schumer and most of the Democrats in Congress who failed to heed Bush's call for banking reform.

<< You can redo the teeth of a pig and put lipstick on it, but it's still a pig. >>

Yes, you are. You should sue for a refund on that orthodontia work.

The only thing toxic about the ads is having to see Al Franken's face on TV.

If Dean Barkley had any chance to win, I would vote for him - If only not to vote for the other 2.

I feel like I have toxic poisoning every time I see Franken's face and now his wife's face on TV. Stick to radio, Al. It suits you better.

Don't forget the contributions to angryal from Phil Spector, Mary Steenbergen, Herb Alpert, Bill Maher and it seems like half of the population of California. angryal is calling ultra-liberals from California looking for cash as he can't seem to get funding from Minnesota where people are smarter.

Ol' Rad is way out there eh?

It is an excersize in futility to even read the thoughts that flow out of the recesses of her imagination. Even the most ignorant partisan has some legitimate points....but not Rad.

Are you also perplexed by what happens to a person that makes them the way Rad is?

I'm not Franken fan, but remember Norm Coleman defied his constituents and voted for the bailout. That action says more than any TV ad can. Vote Norm out, Democrats and Republicans alike.

Not sure really what's new about this campaign. I recall the Boschwitz-Wellstone ads as being pretty harsh, particularly the second time they ran against each other; and still recall a mean-spirited cartoon ad from the 1994 Grams campaign ridiculing Ann Wynia.

If you want Barkley to win, vote for him. That's the whole point of the election process.
