"White trash" is a racist term, btw, suggesting that white's are a special kind of trash unlike other trash that is non-white. Not a very useful term.

So you don't like women having babies after forty and you hate children with developmental disabilities. Reasonable people differ with your views.

Maybe you just don't like women ("baby makers") or children, and you want to control them or eliminate them.

Wow, this isn't a very good advertisement for Minnesota. Once known as a gathering place for freedom loving independents, it will now be known for martial law. I guess in Minnesota, leaving a concert is violation of the law. Very very sad.

SOunds alot like the Bush admin... There are other really good comparisons. Both the nazis and neo-cons were elected, and then tried to claim unparallelled power after the election. IF you believe for a second our govt. and the D and R parties do not attempt to squash opposition you are not paying attention. Both parties are guilty of this. THey make it virtually impossible to get a third party candidate on ballots while grandfathering themselves in, any candidate even within their party that expresses reasonable ideas (Kucinich, Gravel, Paul) are essentially laughed at by the party spokesmen and "leading candidates" which basically mean the people who the media tell us we should vote for.

Another fine comparison is the attempted use of military power to achive world domination (economic conquest) under the guise of a political cause (FREEDOM!!!). BTW FREEDOM!! basically means to shut up, go to work, spend all your money buying stuff and dont ask any questions.

People had warned me about this place before. Up until what we saw last week I had had a very positive view of this state.

Not anymore - yes it is sad. And who wants to bet that nothing will happen to those shock troopers and their illegal actions.

Terry- you must have missed it. Rage played Thursday night as scheduled. They were never arrested, anywhere.

Let's clear something up. What Terry's link was is of a local journalist of the broadcast Democracy Now trying to speak to the commanding chief to release her other innocent colleagues. And they immediately arrested her for no reason.

Rage Against the Machine played their Target Center show as planned but were not given the electricity to play at the state capital the night before in front of the thousands of demonstrators. The organizers had a permit for the gathering, but the police were "afraid" so they cut the power on the band. The sang with the crowd accapella through a megaphone instead.

Minnesota, particularly Saint Paul is, or was a great city! It just goes to show how Republicans come into an area and can next thing you know, the government is running our police! Realize our cops were just following orders, very poorly exucuted orders, in reference to the innocent marchers, and detained media.
