Don't block the street, don't get arrested. "They are taking it to the extreme." said, JOE SHLEPERSON. I love the Ex Military angle. Whether you are a teacher, dentist, lawyer, democrat, republican, or anarchist doesn't make you imune from acting like a complete idiot.

Break the law get arrested.

It seems odd that they call the noisemakers Rage Against The Machine. Obama is the machine. There has been much disorder in our country in the past 40 years but no one has inspired behavior as vile as that of the hoard inspired by this Obama phenomenon and his media minions. Yet I can't help thinking that Obama, the media and the hoard are all part of a single creation designed to drive the country into such violent chaos that people will allow themselves to be herded sheeplike into a nanny state rather than demand a cessation of the chaos. Even the arrests are half-hearted and not likely to correct the problem, especially in Minnesota where no matter how despicably one treats one's fellow citizens one can always be assured of being released to prey upon them again. The police chief is surprised it hasn't "been a little worse". Does he have information about the character of the people they are dealing with? If so, are they actually putting people at serious risk by not dealing more firmly with them? That there are people who will vote for the party that is behind all this is astounding.

The Rage concert was AMAZING. Great music, great show! I am thankful that Zach (lead singer) told everyone to be peaceful and show "discipline" when exiting the concert. As a young woman attending (with only another young woman)-- and attending only to listen to the awesome rock and roll -- I was very happy to hear him and felt safe. The music was a great experience. I am voting McCain/Palin.

What good does blocking the streets do? The only thing that you get out of this is a trip to jail. It called free speech not free to be an idiot. I personal thing the cops aren't doing enough. I have seen several people yelling and spitting on cops and the cops sitting there doing nothing. This kind of behavior is not American. If you don't like whats going on than leave to another country and I guarantee that you will come running back to America in a few days.

Yep, Minnesota, the land of the property destorying hippie. Fat pig welfare mothers wanting more money for the next baby they have with some unknown father. Pay for it with your high MN taxes, you tax slaves who want to pay people for stupid behavior rather than us solid citizens who work hard and pay for our own children. Reward stupid behavior with money, but tax me higher when I try to live a responsible life. Do you hate me? Do you just want my money to pay for the irresponsible? Punish me for trying to live a life of a good solid citizen? What is wrong with this picture?

Geez! what do you say? all of this over political parties, come on think for yourself people. they maybe republicans or democrats, but the truth is they are all liars and it has nothing to do with you or my wants and needs.
Do you think either replacement will make a difference? do you really? look at the history of either party, neither has done anything that is for the common mans good. These people are LIARS! one and all, put your hopes and dreams on yourself and don't give them anymore power to make your desicions..that is how we got here in the first place...find a common man to believe in not these Lawyers who become politicians..these people tell you what you want to hear everytime and then once in office it changes...doesn't matter who is in! be it the republicans or democrats..this is your responsibility you make the change!
Ignorance is your enemy...get smart and think for yourself.

What you have observed is a splendid example of courage and grace under pressure.

The taunters and spitters want to force a cop to lose it,(e.g. the Chicago 68 democrat convention). Nowadays, they are enabled by people videotaping the confrontations with the hope of filing lawsuits which must be defended irrespective of their frivolity, thus draining the public treasury further. Their funding to file these suits is virtually bottomless; the public treasury is anything but.

The police must act assertively to defend the rights of law-abiding citizens peaceably to assemble. Yet they must act with restraint to defend the taxpayers against frivolous lawsuits alleging excessive force.

The criminals in black outfits and bandanas with their ball-peen hammers and the tactics of rolling newspaper stands and Dumpsters into the streets as barricades have been observed elsewhere (e.g. Seattle WTO) and will be observed again. They are lawbreakers hiding behind legitimate protesters; they don't care what is being protested, their aim is disruption.

Real protesters should disavow them, ideally revealing their identity, if known, to the authorities.

Republican or Democrat absolutely DOES make a difference. Sarah Palin was ONE person who made a difference. YOU the reader are one person who can make a difference. It's when you "man up" and take responsibility for your own actions that you DO make a difference to all of us. If you want to watch Mrs. Palin's speech go to www.cspan.org where it can be streamed. By the way, she's not a lawyer; she's a Mom who got involved and made a difference. It's when you shrug your shoulders and say, "Woe is me, I don't make a difference so why bother" that "the man" gets his say. What man will you allow to make decisions for you? I say vote the party who DOES put you first, NOT the government-vote the Republican party. Go check out their platform and DO think for yourself.

"We were at the Rage concert, and they are taking it (out) of context. We were just marching,"

Well, peeps, marching requires a permit. It isn't illegal to march, but it is if you don't have the proper permit, or if you impede the normal flow of traffic and civilization around you.

I was going to vote for Democrat, but after listening to Mrs Palin I am now voting Republican. We need someone normal and smart and do what the people want and need. Not just thinking what the president job can do for them and there good old boys and buddies. Not making all their friend rich...like Bush did!! and Iknow Bush is republican!! She is what we need so the Old man remembers what he needs to do.. WORK for the people!! Oboma and is talk is turning me off..

I want everyone on this board to think about what he or she is saying. This is exactly why this country is so divided. No one can agree on anything. Hmmm... Food for thought

The police are not being hard enough on these punks. I understand that their hands are tied and that is too bad. As long as activisits, minorities and media dictate "Use of Force" policies these things will contiue. Get rid of the bleeding hearts and let the PD's do their job. These PUNKS need to learn that the dog wags the tail, the tail don't wag the dog and which part they are !!!!(hint: they ain't the dog)

Is someone not getting attention at home? Where are your parents children? If these self serving brats don't get their bottomless tank of attention filled they turn to violence. When that doesn't work many of them try to get attention by performing homosexual acts and then trying to get society to let these perverts get married. There are great councelers all over that will help you see outside yourselves and help you lead normal lives. Good luck!

Are you really from Forest Lake? Are you serious? Forest Lake is one of the most wussy little towns I have ever seen. If anybody wanted to get a message out it wouldn't be heard in that 5 man town. There are more sheep than men up there... and the sheep are scared. The protesters, however, would decimate the place. And don't think the local Hillbilly Drinking Gang is rough enough to stop some of these guys. You aren't. Don't kid yourself.

I was at the concert and it was awesome much like other concerts I have been at people get fired up after they leave the concert. I think the police actually caused the march. It was kind of overkill there must of been over 500 police officers standing outside the door, on horses on bikes packed into vans and suvs. Also having this many police in one area draws the media and I think if they would have had there regular event staff nothing would have happened the concert goers wouldn't have felt threatened. I left and went straight to the train and I saw a 15 year old get attacked for putting on a bandana by a police officer. I also so another right before the concert get his head smashed on the first ave then kicked by other cops. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen, it was over kill. Very disappointed in our leaders in MN.
