You do realize that virtually all oil-importing countries have experienced massive spikes in fuel prices as of late, right? I assure you I'm not trying to be a pri*k, nor am I trying to beat a dead horse. I'm just trying to make sense of your opinions with which I disagree.

No other country comprises around 1/4 of global demand, while also producing about 1/10 of the supply.

Watch some of these fiscally conservative misers start demanding for public transportation in their suburbs after decrying public transportation for so long.
You're seeing more and more people ride the bus these days, and different kinds of people too. Soon, you'll see Mr. Wrong Jason Lewis ride the "giant choo choo" too when he realizes that it costs nearly the price of a meal at McDonald's to get to work.

I specifically said that he could do something...not whether is was the right thing to do or not...its very simple. He could FREEZE GAS PRICES...he does have that power. I don't know if that is the best thing to do or not but it seems to me a lot of price gouging is going on here...actually just got an email (Im sure its just spam) that says to watch Gas meters when pumping...some have been overcharging by ?speeding? up the pumps so it seems you have pumped more then you actually have. It says to check the price after 10 gallons to make sure you aren't being charged more then you are suppose to. I don't think it happens but it could especially at these smaller gas stations. If I understand this correctly...maybe I don't...but the President can go to war with the country right away without the consent of Congress...it is then up to Congress to pull the troops out if deemed appropriate. Bush had reasons to invade Iraq...reasons enough for Congress not to pull us out...because of the claim of Weapons of Mass Destruction...the bottom line was that wasn't true...maybe he had info that was just wrong...or maybe they had some evidence and he acted hastily...but I just think Bush had some other motives to invade...thats all...wasn't the only reason...I just think Bush was looking for any reason to go back there...and Saddam gave him that reason and he jumped into war...a little too quickly IMO. And come on we all know during that time America was looking for payback and rightfully so...and Im not disappointed at all that Saddam is no longer around...im just saying if I had the choice Id rather have seen Bin Laden captured rather then Saddam...with Saddam atleast we knew where he was and he wasn't really a threat to America

If you don't like the prices don't buy it. The bottom line is you can't whine about gas prices when we have not let any refineries be built in 20 years. What do libs think would happen if you restrict supply and continue to increase demand?
Gas price could be sub $1 if we could use the oil we have in the US and allow the oil companies to build refineries. Right now there is no economic incentive for anyone to put more product in the market, hence higher prices.
Do you libs believe in supply and demand controlling pricing? Or is this all something Bush controls with Cheny telling him what to do?

It actually makes no difference to me at all, I still will drive my H1 no matter what it costs.

People always say that they will stop driving as much when the price goes too high..........well, it's now higher, and going to get even higher yet...... the only thing I have noticed is peoples speed......everyone seems to go a bit slower.......a lead foot just gets you less miles per gallon now.
