That all sounds good but if true He would have told us that in the bible. He didn't. It's not there. It's simply part of the man-made religion.

So, showing respect for God's creations (earth and humans) is ridiculed as "earth-worshipping?"
Someone created a new term here the other day - CINO, Christians in Name Only. It was to refer to people who call themselves Christians, but prefer to skip over all of the parts of the bible that talk about helping the poor, doing unto others, treating your body like a temple, loving sinners, etc and focus instead only on the parts that don't cause them to make any sacrifices at all for anyone else. I think it fits here.
wow. maybe you should write amy klobuchar to win her "carbon buster award".

why do you presume people who doubt globull warming all consider themselves Christians?

You are correct about taking care of ourselves, the poor, loving sinners, etc. But no place - not one place - does the bible say we should put "earth" before people, that we should harm the economy (harming the poor) by forcing ridiculous "sustainable" non-sense on people, or that one is not a "christian" because they don't worship at the alter of Global Warming. Here's another term for those who'd force that on Christians - Christophobes.

Burgy,

I understand the "reviewer" who said that Al Gore's movie was 98% correct was Tipper Gore!

Unfortunately, a judge in Great Britain ruled that "An Inconvenient Truth" contained no fewer than 11 major factual errors and was so blatantly biased that it could only be used in the schools there if it were accompanied by materials clarifying that it was inaccurate, biased, and not based upon science. That's why ole Al tries so hard to convince us that the "debate is over" and "deniers should be considered the same of flat earthers". His junk can't stand scrutiny so he has to avoid it at all cost.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but somehow I don't think that will change your opinion. You sound like a "true believer" who is never bothered by "facts" that don't support their belief system.
Sad for you!

I don't think it's a coincidence that Earth Day is Lenin's birthday. Why are religions letting themselves be taken over by leftists?

Overpopulation wrote:
I wish the churches would tell people to quit breeding like rabbits. Almost all of our current problems can be attributed to overpopulation. It was ok for God to say 'Go forth and multiply' when the population was 2. But it's pretty stupid for us to 'stay the course' when the population is over 6 billion.
So do you just look for religious stories and post this without support?

***Gore Used Fictional Video to Illustrate ‘Inconvenient Truth’***
It goes without saying that climate realists around the world believe Nobel Laureate Al Gore used false information throughout his schlockumentary "An Inconvenient Truth" in order to generate global warming hysteria.
On Friday, it was revealed by ABC News that one of the famous shots of supposed Antarctic ice shelves in the film was actually a computer-generated image from the 2004 science fiction blockbuster "The Day After Tomorrow."
Perhaps if the Goracle hadn’t invented the Internet, nobody would have found this out.
Foiled by his own invention!

Yea but his intentions were good. now we all used those cute mercury laden compact florescent bulbs. Rated dangerous but not "Gravely" dangerous.

The money GE and Phillips make on the new compact mercury bulbs is proof that global warming is big business.

It didnt take the Leftists creating a religious push for votes to get me too take care of this Gift from God...the Earth.

Talk about condensention(?)... You smug arrogant fools.

As hunter who cherishs the life I take for my sustanance, a Farm boy who eats what he grows, and a steward of Gods creation I resent the implication that it is some new concept for Churhes to care for the Earth. I dont know anyone who claims a faith in God that doesnt see the earth as a Gift.
I cannot speak for all faiths, only mine and those who share my faith.(Us sinnin' christians.)

I spend more time hangin out with God in the woods and fields that any of the New Found Environmental snob religious types.

It didnt take a push from the Leftists, lead by Howard Deans redefinition of religion, to inspire me and mine to Love the earth....you snobs!

The church has been so taken over it isn't even funny. Seems like their idea of 'God' is more and more resembling a 60s radical preaching sinless liberation theology.

Time for a Bible Lesson!
And yes, I just took this out of my own RSV copy:

"So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, be fruitful and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth" Gen. 1:20

"Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and have dominion over the fish of the sea..." Gen 1:26

If I had my old copy with apocrypha I could point out that the original translation of "dominion" is "stewardship"

"A righteous man has regard for the life of his beast"Proverbs 12:2

My point? God blessed his ALL of his creations, including animals. He GIFTED to us stewardship of these creations and admonishes those who treat them badly. Unless as a believer you want to explain to Him why you didn't, either through ignorance or choice, I'd suggest caring at least a little bit.

Do you understand the term "liberation theology"? I'd love to see your definition.

More of them have been going to be hungry now because the cost of their daily bread (tortillas) has quadrupled. This is the consequence of diverting 20% of our grain output into our gas tanks.

We do care, MORE than a little bit. Caring, however, does not mean that we blindly accept the gw orthodoxy. The case refuting it has become overwhelming.
