Full story: ThisWeek Community Newspapers

The solution seemed as elementary as one-plus-one. Too many kindergartners are expected at Evening Street School next year.

It is so comical to watch the snobs in Worthington try to out-snob each other... hilarious. This clown on council needs to go!

Once again the Worthington City Council debates how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. This is so obviously good for the community and the schools that I do not see what the problem is. The issues raised by Councilman Myers are ridiculous. As for Councilman Duffy, think about what having these kids exposed to the arts in the MAC and try to envision, in your selfish little brain, how that might be good for the future of the arts in Worthington.

Just a quick correction to Scott Myer's comment regarding the use of the MAC for incoming kindergartner's as an overflow alternative for Evening Street Elementary.

"It offends me a little bit that the schools are coming back and taking it after the city fixed it up for them," council member Scott Myers said.

As a matter of fact, we should be thanking the late and wonderfully generous John H McConnell for the the gift he provided to fund this arts center. Neither the city nor the school system stepped up to the plate to take this on. And as a side comment, either way you slice it - city tax money or school tax money, isn't it just plain old taxpayer's money? Just some food for thought.

So thank you, Mr. McConnell, for choosing to leave a legacy that will keep giving for generations to come. Thank you to Evening Street and MAC leadership for developing a creative and community-focused solution.
