OBAMA IS NOT ONLY FOR LATE TERM ABORTIONS, BUT AGAINST SAVING THE LIVES OF BABIES WHO SURVIVE LATE TERM ABORTIONS: Sen. Barack Obama (D.-Ill.) portrays himself as a thoughtful Democrat who carefully considers both sides of controversial issues, but his radical stance on abortion puts him further left on that issue than even NARAL Pro-Choice America.
In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies who survived late-term abortions. That same year a similar federal law, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, was signed by President Bush. Only 15 members of the U.S. House opposed it, and it passed the Senate unanimously on a voice vote.
Both the Illinois and the federal bill sought equal treatment for babies who survived premature inducement for the purpose of abortion and wanted babies who were born prematurely and given live-saving medical attention.
When the federal bill was being debated, NARAL Pro-Choice America released a statement that said,“Consistent with our position last year, NARAL does not oppose passage of the Born Alive Infants Protection Act ... floor debate served to clarify the bill’s intent and assure us that it is not targeted at Roe v. Wade or a woman’s right to choose.”
But Obama voted against this bill in the Illinois senate and killed it in committee. Twice, the Induced Infant Liability Act came up in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. At its first reading he voted “present.” At the second he voted “no.”
The bill was then referred to the senate’s Health and Human Services Committee, which Obama chaired after the Illinois Senate went Democratic in 2003. As chairman, he never called the bill up for a vote.
Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse who was the prime mover behind the legislation after she witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to die, testified twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act bills. She also testified before the U.S. Congress in support of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.
Stanek told me her testimony “did not faze” Obama.
In the second hearing, Stanek said,“I brought pictures in and presented them to the committee of very premature babies from my neonatal resuscitation book from the American Pediatric Association, trying to show them unwanted babies were being cast aside. Babies the same age were being treated if they were wanted!”
“And those pictures didn’t faze him [Obama] at all,” she said.

America is in trouble....We produce nothing but corn for export. Have you seen the tankers coming from China big enough to hold 15,000 containers, longer that a U.S. aircraft carrier, that unload and return empty. This problem began more than thirty years ago. When I worked at Ford Motor and witnessed crates loaded with transaxels made in Japan come off the loading docks, wire harnesses made in Taiwan, brake disc assemblies from Spain, etc. all while Ford was closing down their own manufacturing plants that produced these same parts with workers losing their jobs. Why, because of corporate taxation, over government enviornmental regulations, over government intervention into the private sectore, and unions demanding hirer wages and more benifits. The companies find it cheaper and more cost effective to buy from and manufacture in other countries. It's not Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, nor will it be McCains or Obamas to blame. If the United State doesn't wake up and find away to bring this under control, bring us back to being the productive leader in the World, America IS in trouble.....God Help The U.S.A. Thats what I think. |

You do that, speedy. The only way obama will win is through Election Frayd, which I predicted months ago. |

It just puzzles me, as a person who voted for Bush twice, that my fellow Republicans haven't come to terms with the disaster we caused America with our votes.
Just look at the results; 5000 kids killed in a war that should never have been fought, housing industry down the tubes, foreclosures all over the place, food costs way up, gas prices staggering, unemplotment climbing, with Chinese goods being sold everywhere... to our unemployed factory workers. Look, I know we are Republicans, but when is enough... enough? Bush policies have brought our country to the brink of fiscal disaster, we build bridges, roads and schools in Iraq, while ours crumble before our eyes. Our factory workers are having to compete with Chinese slave labor as Chinese factories and foundries burn soft coal. Look around you; the price of milk for your kids is higher than the gas you can barely afford. The only people happy with this mess are the Big Oil fat cats and Chinese politicians thast hate us. We desperately need change big time, and I don't care if it's left-wing or right-wing, Republican or Democrat. It may not work, it may already be too late, but I'm voting for Barack Obama because he offers an approach that is the opposite to the foolhardy policies we have disasterously followed for 8 long years. Barack may not be the answer, but I know McCain intends to keep us on the Bush course that has just about destroyed us already. I implore my fellow Republicans; look within your hearts, look at the for-sale signs on your neighbors lawns. Look at how we have descended from that "shining city on a hill" into the ignominy of our present condition. Look at where we have been, at where we are, and you'll know in your heart you don't want to go where John McCain intends to take us. Take off your Republican blinders, wake up and smell the coffee... if you can afford it. |

While I'm unhappy with Bush, I KNOW that the country would be a disaster under Obama. This country could recover after 4 more years of Bush-like leadership, but it will never recover from an Obama Presidency.
Tell us...what wil Obama do about the price of gas? He'll raise taxes more. He won't drill for our own oil, so we can be energy independent. How will his taxes on business impact unemployment? Unemployment will rise. How will he impact the housing market? More people will go into debt and Obama will bail them out at our expense. How will Obama protect the US interests? He won't because he wants to just talk with Iran and North Korea. How many innocent unborn children will die under Obama? You do not act like a republican.

After this week I think Obama is running for the President of the World.
This is called governing McCain supported the surge well before anyone knew it would work. This decision was made by McCain in the face of huge political backlash. If the surge did not do what McCain believed he would have lost everything politically. But he knew it was the right thing to do and governed in that manner. McCain voted against the tax cuts and broke with his party because he told his fellow Senators he would not vote for tax cuts without spending cuts. Knowing the political fallout that came with breaking with party lines. This is called governing. Obama won't even admit the surge worked. He voted against it because he knew he was running for President and would run as the Anti War candidate. He voted based on politics! Obama who stood on "I'll bring the troops home" is now calling for more troops in Afganistan. He knows the polls say Americans support the war in Afganistan. Obama called for tax increases on all family over $75K while running against Hillary. It was on his web site. Now he's running against McCain and knows he can't win with Americans under $75K so he changed his position to $250K. That is politics. I want a President who governs not tests the politics of every decision! |

Garbage. The usual liberal blah, blah, blah, denying terrorism is a problem and blaming Bush. May God have mercy on you, because the terrorists won't. |

I kinda like the Ruger 'Rubber Gripped' 357/w 8" barrel, nice peace-maker....... John 'Anti Affirimative Action' McCain in 2005 Change We CAN Believe In |
even though I hate the Clintons with a passion, I can probably name a dozen ways they left this country in better condition than our current condition under Bush. What bothers me is that probably you can too, you know a disaster when you see it. Yet so many of my fellow Americans seemed so tied into a them-us Republican-Democrat mentality, they will vote Republican regardless of the evidence before their eyes... in their shopping cart and at the gas pump. When is enough, enough? |

I'm angry and bitter every time I remember that I voted for that fool in the primary.
Hillary 2012 |
How many threads do you have to be thrown out of? |

"When is enough, enough?" When you have a inexperienced guy like Obama with questionable relationships who consistently changes his story depending on what political agenda he's after at that moment. When he vows to raise taxes, hurt all businesses, weaken the military, create a BIG government. When he demands that innocent unborn children be murdered. That's enough for me.
Do I jump up and down for McCain? NO! But between the two, he's the lesser of two evils.

I come from a family where it was preferable to marry outside one's race or religion than party.
A life long Democrat, I voted for Obama in the primary. The more I see, the less I like. He a disingenuous hack. He will throw you, me or anybody else under the bus he has to to get elected. Just ask his Granny or former pastor, not to mention a couple of long time aides. I'm voting for McCain in November and Hillary in 2012.

Obama's buddy Ludacris raps about the Presidential Race.
"Hillary hated on you, so that **** is irrelevant," say the lyrics. "McCain don't belong in ANY chair unless he's paralyzed Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped." The song also celebrates Obama's rise. "The first black president is destined and it's meant to be," go the lyrics, calling on voters to "paint the White House black. The song notes that Obama has praised Ludacris, and calls on him to "give Luda a special pardon if I'm ever in the slammer." "The world is ready for change because Obama is here!" it concludes. |
