The Morning Call
Gore sets energy goal for next president to heed
"The answer is to end our reliance on carbon-based fuels," Gore told a packed auditorium in Washington's historic Constitution Hall.

Now did he invent wind and solar power. Why don't we do the math is there enough land and open space where people won't raise a fuss to put all this? I haven't seen any numbers thrown around yet. But give me a grant and I be happy to look into it for a couple of years.

Not only did he invent wind power and solar power, he also invented the internet. Now he wants to tell the next president how to do it, despite never getting the job himself. perhaps Gore knows the answers to these questions :- what happens when the sun goes in? what happens when the wind drops? |

Gore needs to stay in Tennesse, and keep his big fat mouth shut. He was a loser when he was VP, when he ran for President, and a even bigger loser now!

"The Alliance for Climate Protection, a bipartisan group Gore leads, put the 30-year cost of his plan — both government and private — at $1.5 trillion to $3 trillion."
Let's see - thats $100 billion a year for 30 years. That's $2 billion a week for 30 years. Are you kidding me? Before we waste all this money could we really be sure what is happening, why it is happening, and what (if ANYTHING) we can do about it? Are more of you seeing what this is about? Follow the money ... |

And yet another hole in the case made by the all-powerful, all-knowing Goreacle!
From the American Physical Society: IPCC modeling overstates warming rate based on level of CO2: http://www.aps.org/units/fps/newsletters/2008... APS editor, Jeffrey Marque explains,"There is a considerable presence within the scientific community of people who do not agree with the IPCC conclusion that anthropogenic CO2 emissions are very probably likely to be primarily responsible for global warming that has occurred since the Industrial Revolution." http://www.aps.org/units/fps/newsletters/2008... Consolidated points through blog post: http://www.dailytech.com/Myth+of+Consensus+Ex... Until the news media take a critical look at this buffoon, Gore, and call him on the ridiculous claims he makes, I will continue to look for the truth elsewhere. To Timothy McNulty, do you realize a number of well-informed people see "journalists" as sycophants? |

It seems to me if this escapee from the enchanted tree forest in the Lord of the Rings was serious about ending global warming he would end the constant flow of hot air and carbone dioxide that is generated every time he opens his mouth. As Ned Flanders said of Lisa Simpson, Al Gore is the answer to the question nobody asked.

Not to mention that his company will gladly sell you some carbon offsets. The left has wasted much hot air on Bush and Cheney being oil men, and everything they do is to enrich the evil oil companies. Yet not a peep from them about Gore stirring up a false crisis and profiting from the solution. At least the oil companies provide the life-blood of our economy. Gore's "green" buddies are doing everything they can to destroy our economy, while raping what is left of it for obscene profits.

Is all of the from the "hanging chad" effect??? This guy is nuts!!

Al Gore is what? An Engineer? A scientist? A climatologist? A physicist?
Or more likely a narcissistic washed up political has been who can't stand not being the center of attention. Al Gore would have you believe that carbon dioxide is bad for the environment, when every living creature on earth exhales carbon dioxide. Al Gore would exhale a lot less carbon dioxide if he'd shut his mouth once in a while. |
|
I wonder what "dots" he speaks of. He sounds real smart, maybe this guy could run for President, oh wait...he did, and lost! Al Gore should take his Oscar and walk off into the sunset so the proper professionals and experts do the work and make the decisions, not some washed up hack bent on extending his fifteen minutes forever. |

We can still conserve and protect the environment without gore and his paid off scientist trying to make a fast buck. |
|
his house is suppose to be using a lot of energy. not bad for a guy who preaches the opposite. in fact bush has a better energy efficient house. go figure. its the media.
we need to get off of oil and this has been said maybe....12 years ago......lets start doing it and not talking about it..........8 |

should have never gotten any prize for being a liar..........good thing he wasnt elected.
media wanted gore.......... |

Grogan, very true, and a wise course. It is in our national interest to conserve and find alternatives to oil. I think that is something all Americans can agree on. It is another matter to have Gore and the eco gestapo calling the shots. He would ruin our economy while exempting nations like China and India. I don't know if he is a fool or a tool. The global "greens" are not really all that worried about the planet. They are still mad the US won the cold war. That put a big dent in their plans for spreading socialism. They now have to create a false emergency like global warming to get anyone to take them seriously.

"Its the money stupid' The elitists have now gotten a way to make huge amounts of money! They took a plausible ,impossible situation, coupled it with fear and are parlaying this into huge money.
This former "Bag Man' for Clinton, will acquire wealth to shame the oil guys. They will do nothing about to even think about some compressive attempts to start to ease our energy crises. There is a group now ,who follows this hypocrite around...his entourage his stretch limos,SUVs,and a persone jet.Not the small variety, but an airliner. What was interesting, they never shut them down. Vehicles parked in front of speaking events, engines running!running all the time! The point is not to be picky. The point is ,he should lead by example. At the last rally he had,the thinking was to curb Fossil fuel, they would like to see it a $8 to 10 a gal. I guess a guy like Obama will not need direction on this.He already favors the concept of punitive costs on us,to reduce air pollution. Here in the USA,the California . loony liberals, headed by Boxer,Fienstien,Pelosi, and that "Terminator" guy collectively could not control those fire fires. Now they want to control the country. All this while China,India, give us the finger, and laugh at us. Those monkeys will not do nothing about Gore's problem. But it begs the question what are we gonna do about ours?? OH LORD SAVE US FROM THE INSANITY OF LOONY LET WING NUT GREEN SLIME PEOPLE.......AMEN!! |

You forgot "scam artist." |

For the record, he never said he invented the internet. Comedy writers and right wing jerks ran with something he said about being a part of setting up the first networks that later became the internet, which he did do. Grow up and get your facts straight.

I don't see any one of you doing anything noteworthy. You all make me ill. Instead of bashing someone trying to raise awareness about global problems and do something about them, why don't you look within and stop being hateful and stupid first?

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out we need to move away from fossil fuels. I'm glad you get your checks from the oil company and want to dissuade people from the truth, but sorry, oil is so last century. Time to move to sustainable and clean energy, and as quickly as possible. If you're against that, you're either a shill or have your head up your bum.

Mr. Gore is dead on. And I don't care about how he lives, how much energy he uses in his home, or whether he flies private jets or commercial. That's not the point. The point is this is a long term economic solution that will greatly, if not completely, rid us of foreign fossil fuel demand. It can be done, and it should be done. Drilling is just a temporary solution, a band-aid at best. Ten years is practical, ten years is doable. Remember, if you want to achieve something great, set big goals. The only issue with this solution is that Big Oil and Corporate America lose a lot of money and I just don't think they will let this happen. In fact, I believe they will come up with every excuse on why it won't happen. They are masterful at conducting a campaign again this sort of thing. All you have to do is watch the Fox News channel when it comes to this issue.
