U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler is defending himself against new accusations that he is playing a residency shell game by using his in-laws' address in Delray Beach while living in a Maryland suburb.

I don't have a problem with Wexler working closer to Washington and representing S. Florida.

Look, I'm a loyal Democrat, but Wexler and others like him, regardless of party affiliation, should resign and become lobbyists or whatever. They don't own property in their home districts, they don't pay their fare share of taxes there (so they deprive their home states and counties of important tax revenue like our Governor does),(and I'm sure Wexler doesn't pay Maryland income taxes either) and they don't really live there day to day, so how can they represent us in Washington DC when they don't even know what it's like to own a home, insure it, pay property taxes, and endure the bad decisions and whims of our local and state governments? It's shameful, but peopple like Wexler have no shame.

Wexler is no more than a thug for move-on.org . He is a disgrace to this state and I hope the Florida voters get rid of this jerk of an opportunist.

How does the law let him get away with pulling such a sham? Does he really think the voters are stupisd enough to believe, that his family lives in his in laws house in a seniors community? The answer is, yes. they voted for him.

I wonder how Wexler defines
"living". Lies come easy to many politicians. |

Just another Democratic carpet bagger. It's all the gullible New Yorkers that vote for these people

Wexler is a petulant weasel and deserves to answer the question concerning his residency. We all know why he has this address listed as his home. Because of the tax advantage. That's it.
For all of his usual pontificating and phony indignation in front of cameras that we are used to, it was great to see the look on his face and hear the cracking in his voice trying to come up with excuses. |

I have seen the recent report on Congressman Wexler's lying about his real residencey in Maryland, but pretending he lives in Florida. From all reports, this guy Wexler is a real dirtbag. Fox News has referred the whole matter to the FBI. Don't be surprised if this guy doesn't end up in jail for tax evasion.
Wexler should resign! |

Why didn't O'Reilly bring up the issue of John and Cindy not paying taxes on a home in California. Oops, I forgot, they only target Democrats. Thin-skinned Bill needs to stop targeting liberals only, and try living up to his "fair and balanced", "no spin" example. He, the sexual harrasser, has no room to talk about, with his sordid past. Hope Wexler trounces his Repulsivecan rivals.

Totally agree! Would love to know if he pays Maryland income tax. He owns no property here yet resides in Florida and his kids go to a PRIVATE school in MD. Looks like a big loop hole that needs to be closed. |

As a proud democrat, and an Obama supporter, I have a big problem with Wexler not living in Florida as much as he should be. Being a Congressman should be a tough job, along with the traveling back and forth and time spent away from family. If you can't do it, don't run for Congress. Rules are rules, don't bend or break them. The sad part is that most politicians probably do it and we have no idea.

Is there a more arrogant or thuggish member of Congress than Robert Wexler?
He's been living a lie for at least 9 years, and we are only finding out about it now? He needs to resign. |

I can sympathize with Mr. Wexler's choices. As a Democrat, myself, I could even cut his some slack. However; I don't believe he can fully relate to many of the problems we're having locally (tumultuous property values, taxes, insurance costs etc) if he doesn't own a home, or at least maintain one here. When's the last time he hunkered down with us all during a hurricane?
I like him, but Mr. Wexler becomes a little more extreme (leftward) with each term. Maybe it is time for a change. |

He's a crook plain and simple. Whether it's for taxes, schools, or just because he thought no one would care. He should resign. He wouldn't know the truth if he tripped over it. Lies come to a lier easily. Are any polititions honest?

If he lists his residency in a community that does not allow childen, which he has, legally that would indicate that his status is fraudlent.

Wexler is a no good liar, and typical of the liberal democrat party.

Ben Graber might end up falling into this seat by luck. Does Graber have a chance of winning?
