This requires being able to think beyond the comprehension level of a 6th grader.

Must not be any Republicans left in the DOT.

In addition to replacing light bulbs, how 'bout replacing some of the crumbling pavement around town, such as the far right lane of St. Michael's heading west. It's like something you'd expect to find in a ghost town. Oh well, I doubt the mayor ever gets to that side of town anyway.

So there going to throw away bulbs that are still operable? A real bright idea!

Wow, so progressive. The City changed theirs at least two years ago (but without all the self-serving fanfare).

savings w/LED doesn't even begin to save us taxpayers a dime compared to the waste in salary our Govenor is paying his uneducated, unqualified cronies.

"Green" my left ankle.

Gary Giron continues to ensure that you cannot ride a bike on any road his DoT maintains. This is done by lip-paving the shoulder, i.e., the final layer of asphalt is taken a few inches to a a foot beyond the fog line, creating a big ridge. This cannot be safely ridden on and is only done in engineering backwaters such as New Mexico.

So next time you see a cyclist in the lane slowing you down rather than on a shoulder, thank Mr. Giron and his DoT for making the shoulder impassible. But they will replace the lights with LEDs.

I really love all those cameras near signal lights. They make me feel soooo secure.

I`m looking forward to the day when we all snitch on each other for looking sideways at trees.
You better watch out! I`m going to report you.

Soon we`ll have water police, trash police, spanking police, joy police, negative thinking police, Hate police, love police, policing, the police, policing the police.

I just can`t wait. The future sounds so secure. I`m already feeling warm and fuzzy.

I gotta laugh. This technology has been around for over a decade. They were using these back east and in LA in the mid 90's. Granted, some improvements have been made but, WOW! The "Green" marketing machine is in full effect in NM.
