Life for many New Mexicans begins at conception.
We have to find these preachers and get them out of the pulpit.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

October 15, 2008
For my part, and on behalf of my congregation, I have to commend you and your pastor and his staff for the courageous work that you do every day in the valley, and especially in these past years when it pertains to promoting and respecting life, from the moment of conception until natural death. I have to also thank you for allowing me and many others to meet in your parking lot and to pray for the evil which is abortion. Our fellowship, our common prayers, our loving hearts unite to reply to this moral outrage. This scourge on our nation has united the Body of Christ, and I am grateful for the goodness that it has produced.
Your clever and graphic way of setting forth the issue of the day has taken great courage and is precious in the eyes of God. I know that you have taken criticism for your gallant portrayal of abortion; there may even be people in your own congregation who feel you have gone too far… but you are to be praised for your profession of faith. When the Rio Grande Sun called me to ask my opinion, I told them flat out that this is the best thing that any church in the valley has done to challenge people to know the issue and to vote responsibly.
I always feel welcome and loved when I am at the Rock and with you. We know that God is our protector and our shield, and it is a privilege if we can be used as His instrument of truth in a world that has lost its way and is causing the destruction of our morals and our very life. I look forward to any way that we can work for the salvation of souls, for the message of truth, and for the glory of God. May he bless your pastor and your families.
In Christ’s love,

Why is it that the churches wish to impose their beliefs on the rest of us? Moral issues should be left to individuals to decide. I for one think that religion is full of hate and prejudice as witnessed by the pictoral display outside the Espanola church. But then I see that the stupidity of people like Joe the Plumber (not!) makes them side with their oppressors.

The catholic church should not support the Rock Fellowship Church in Espanola. They are known fanatics who teach only hate. I recall during the last election an enraged woman from the church was protesting abortion, and I asked her, what about the pregnant Iraqi women who are dying as a result of the war. She yelled out "They deserved to die because they are terrorists". Clearly, the teachings of the Rock Fellowship Church is missing the point. They want to ge involved in politics? Then by all means they should lose their tax exempt status. These are not good people.

It may be no surprise to the liberal media that this is the outcome http://www.au.org/site/News2... of The Rock Christian Fellowships voter guide on the issue of abortion.

The Americans United has reported that RCF is in violation of the federal tax-code.

RCF and its Pastors have not endorsed a candidate for public office neither have they said who to vote for.

Father, pray for all of us sinners now in our time of need. I feel there is so much hate in this world, people do not realize abortion is death, murder in the eyes of the Lord. God Bless America!

Daniel,
Your pastor is clearly endorsing a candidate. Who are trying to fool?

His quote
In the letter, AU notes that the pastor of the church, Michael Naranjo, has admitted that this is his goal. He told the Santa Fe New Mexican that his purpose is “educating on who stands pro-life and who is pro-death.”

He is allowed to do exactly that, educate voters on the issues. That is not an endorsement. Endorsement of any candidate was not his goal.

Father Terry Brennan,
The folks at the Rock Christian Fellowship only further invalidate the church by treating the people of Espanola as simpletons by misinforming them of the truth, distorting the facts in order to mislead them into positions that are unsupported by evidence, logic, or reason. Morality is left up to the individual, and not through religious bullying. The “Seperation of church and state” principle is to protect all within a government. Meaning, the church stays out of the state’s business and the state stays out of the church’s business. The graphic you call “clever” only divides the church and people further away. The graphic are in bad taste, and clearly violates federal tax law. As you continue to pat them on the back, I pray and hope you see the light soon.

In his own words, he says, "WHO stands for pro-life". Not how, or when....but, who!!!!

Here is the quote again. Maybe you missed that part.

He told the Santa Fe New Mexican that his purpose is “educating on who stands pro-life and who is pro-death.”

For people who want to indulge in a little "Sunday Morning Theatre," they can go ahead. But churches should be fully taxed, just like casinos, nightclubs, and other forms of entertainment. Their days of claiming moral authority and the privelege of a no-tax status were invalidated centuries ago and again recently with the televangelist adulterers and catholic priest rapists.

I see, but he's not endorsing a candidate.

It's a sin to tell a lie and a crime to take that tax deduction.
