Domestic partnership bill fails in Senate

Pathetic. And I thought we had a Democratic majority in the Senate. Can't wait to read the roll call on this.

It's time for gay Americans to start boycotting vactions and products from New Mexico. I for one will actively promote this boycott among my out of state friends starting today. Fortunately, my partner and I are relocating to a more progressive state this summer. We will not be returning and we certainly will not encourage any one supporting New Mexico business or tourism until there is equality in this state.

Unfortunately, I live here. But it's certainly not too late for me to boycott vacations and products from New Mexico.

eqnm thought this vote was really close. They hoped for a tie. It wasn't close at all. That means a lot of sad, chicken little senators were giving gay people lip service.

What are you trying to protect me, a citizen, from?

These are civil unions, not marriages which are under the jurisdiction of churches--not the government.

It is a dispicable lie to claim that God promotes hate and bigotry, and neither being gay nor getting married in contrary to God's law in ANY WAY AT ALL. The Bible NEVER says either is a sin.
