Does anyone have any idea why obituaries appear in the printed edition of the New Mexican but do not appear in the obits listed in the Santa Fe New Mexican.com ?

I understand that the obituary for Victor Fidel was in the November 3 issue of the New Mexican, but I can't get it on the website. This has happened before.

I don't believe the SFNM has ever shown an orbituary in their online newspaper. At least not for the last 9 years or so.

For a fee you can get it I think, emailed to you, contact Henry.

I thought I was the only one that hadn't seen Victor Fidel's obituary. His wife Dolores worked with me for many years at Santa Fe High. She is a wonderful lady. I wish I had known so that I could have attended the services.

I guess not including the obiturary on the online version was a big mistake on the part of the New Mexican. Did you ask Henry about this?

I had not seen Victor Fidel's obit either. I am sorry to hear about his death. Victor and I would ride to and from Denver during Quarter breaks. Coming home one Christmas break we were just south of Aguilar on old Hwy 85 when we threw a tire chain which then wrapped around the axle. What made it so bad it was dark and a cold wind was blowing strong out of the north.

I did send an e-mail to Henry about this. He said he would look into it.

If you go to Santa Fe New Mexican.com , you can click on obituaries and see a list of recent deaths.Victor Fidel's name has not appeared.
I understand that he died on Oct. 29.

His wife's maiden name is Pesenti.

Could it be that the families are given the option to have the obit. on-line in addition to the printed version. Just a thought since I really don't know the answer at this point. Maybe it was a clerical oversight. I've never missed any in the last year or two. They are usually in both places.

Buenos dias les de Dios!

Take a moment today to say a prayer for all of our veterans. It is because of them that we have so many freedoms in this wonderful country of ours.

Don't forget the Veteran's Day Parade and Services this morning.

MUCHICIMAS GRACIAS VETERANOS!

Happy Veteran's Day. Like many northern NM families, my family is full of Vets. Dad, Mom, brothers, sister, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews from WWII to present day.

I can remember when people waited until after Thanksgiving before putting up Christmas decorations. Nowadays, even in Japan, Christmas things are on sale at the same time as Halloween things.

Anybody need some rainwater? I've got plenty of it and it's free. All you have to do is come here, pick it up, and haul it away.

I figured you desert dudes could use some water.

Actually I'm only starting to notice them very recently on TV. Thank goodness but maybe I just haven't noticed. A couple of years ago I saw some Christmas ads before Halloween - that was scaaaarrryyy...

Well it snowed on the big island today, and we've been under a flood watch here on Oahu for two days now and I haven't seen any rain yet.

For Christmas I'll have Halloween decorations up, and perhaps a giant Buddha if I can find one.

David, I've gotten to the 90th page of Lost Symbol and so far its is indeed pretty good. About 17.00 at Costco for hard cover now.

I think you will like it.

Greg, my wife just finished the book, she liked it. I'll work on it this weekend.

I still have my Halloween lights up, I might take them down Saturday.

We have a chance for snow this weekend.

I ordered my Christmas present yesterday, another digital camcorder. It's getting harder to find quality camcorders that use tape, they are all either DVD or hard drive based. The DVD recorders don't work for me and the hard drive ones don't give me the flexibility to remove a tape if I'm filming multiple events the same night.

Hi people, I finished "Lost Symbol" a couple of weeks ago. I liked it very much like "Da Vincci..." The last chapter was a little mushy.

Gold earings.

I want a gold rosary necklace too but I think I'll get one for my mother this year.
