Festival of faiths: Events aim to honor religious diversity

Free? Who is paying for it? Taxpayers? And how do the atheists feel about that?

So this councils been round since 1893, healing each other and the earth. We can see how well they have done and how their god has supported them in their quest.

Yep the tax payers will foot the bill as all th slimy politicians crawl out of their holes to get in the lime light and our right wing christian idiot of a prime minister will strut his stuff like the deranged rooster he is.

Unfortunately some exhibition burned so much incense I felt sick and had to leave early. It seemed like every religion was represented except for Roman Catholic. Wonder why.

Wow! Didn't know people celebrating their faith made so many people uncomfortable.

Probably would just prefer a pagan ritual of burning Zozobra.

It's because we are paying for them to display and promote their insanity and because the actions and outcomes of religion would make any sane person feel uncomfortable, when confronted by the prospect of them affecting you.

Unlike you, most people in this country have evolved beyond primitive fear and superstition. We'd just prefer peace from the ongoing insanity of god followers.

Well I think most would agree with you that they do want peace, so please enlighten me how you suggest that we work for peace.

Only one option, get rid of god by accepting all the evidence shows god doesn't exist and there's not one piece of supportable evidence saying otherwise. In other words accept truth and reality instead of primitive fears and superstitions. Well I hope you find a way to deal with the inflexibility and hostility you display for people who don't believe the same way you do. It's so easy to just write off others because of your own arrogance, thinking you're the only one who knows the truth. How about a little tolerance. I just find this over and over again in these forums. People spouting out and slandering others who don't believe the same way they do. You think it's better to create intolerance, spread hatred, judge others, be narrow-minded?

Listen everyone is entitled to their belief, it's when that belief is forced upon others and demands to be in control when it is painfully obvious the belief is false and destructive in all ways.

Typically you are offended and angry because we won't accept your infantile beliefs as being real, when they are clearly not. How a about a bit of tolerance from the idiot god followers destroying the planet as fast as they can to satisfy their desire for power, greed and psychopathic psychosis. Why should we tolerate that destructive behavior from god nutters, who are clearly deranged to believe in a tooth fairy.
