The flying star's food is so bad that I find this expected... Check out the Yelp reviews!

Flying Star is way overpriced and has crappy food. Coffee's not bad--just too expensive for anyone who lives here. They just want to make a buck off the train people.

It is a great place to eat and the food is very tasty. Only Sam Atakra would let another judge the food for himself. After his comments it is hard to believe he has ever tasted the food.

What about the disgruntled employee? What is a firefighter or others got killed?

... that would mean Albuquerqueans? If you're a pissed off Santa Fean about your living wage costs, how is fleecing the next town over a bad thing?

Why is fleecing anyone a good thing.

Greed is not good. The living wage law was created so that people can afford a roof over their head and eat.

I guess it means they might not be able to afford to eat where they work, however.

Our culture of looking at other individuals and seeing nothing but dollar signs must end.

Life should not be all about money.

I feel bad for the owners of the clothing store. It may be impossible to get the smell of smoke out of the clothing without resorting to dry cleaning or other methods. Insurance companies may be unwilling to pay to replace clothing that is not actually burned, even if it is permeated with the smell of smoke.

Well...it's good to know that the cost of food at a place 'justifies' property damage.

I'm glad no one was hurt because of someone's foolish anger and their actions.

I am a HUGE fan of Flying Star. The food costs the same as Blue Corn, Applebees, and Olive Garden. I don't know what folks expected when they went into Flying Star but the food is wonderful, the service is great, the atmosphere is awesome, and management rocks!

The thing that should be looked at here is the fact that someone acted out of anger and endangered lives of others. I'm glad it didn't turn into a far worse situation, as it surely could have. I commend the calm, level-headed, and quick thinking of the workers, patrons, Fire, and Police personnel.:)

The living wage was thought of by dolts, passed by and for imbeciles!! It does nothing but raise the cost of goods sold or services rendered. They teach this in college, if anyone who supports it ever took Econ 101 between their pottery class and fine arts appreciation!!

I was in the restaurant when the fire broke out. The management (especially Bill Barnett) should be commended for the calm and efficient way they handled this situation. Thank you Santiago for your comment. Aren't people funny when they have no life...?

Tip my hat to the Flying Star Team, Santa Fe Firefighters, and SFPD! Arson is a very scary situation- I hope the man gets caught soon.

The Flying Star is excellent; just don't buy the overpriced drinks. The food is good, wifi is great, atmosphere relaxed, location convenient, etc.

They sell pastry at discount. Teenager safe and friendly if behaved. Not much of a problem as the stoners have cathedral & rail park and Warehouse 21.
