I was talking with a friend of mine who is also a friend of Carlos. She said that people shouldn't be criticizing him because no one REALLY knew how they would act in the same situation. True, I supposed. HOWEVER.... his actions SINCE then are just as atrocious.

I can ALMOST understand being wasted and scared and just running. But when he woke up sober, he should have realized what they (he & Lovato) had done. They should both MAN UP and take responsiblity for thier actions.

Like my dad always used to say "If you want to dance, you gotta pay the piper".

Since Mr. Fierro is hispanic, we have to feel sorry for him, do we? He broke the COUNTRY'S LAW by drinking and driving in the first place, RIGHT??? And plus he was with a STATE POLICE OFFICER, RIGHT!!?!?! I feel no remorse for what is to become of MR. FIERRO, I believe that he did wrong and should pay for his crime, RIGHT!!! I feel sorry for his mother, who somebody had written ealier that she took take of her children. For somebody in a high postion as Mr. Fierro, I think he should have ALOT more sense in his head!!!!! I hope you get life in prison Mr. Lawyer!
Life in prison is not an option in this case, so no need to hope. He won't get it.

I think Fierro made a somewhat calculated split decision to flee the scene...really how many hit and runs drivers are actually found? Out of those how many of them actually get convicted? Not many. Hit and run victims endure the most despicable crime...injuring one so horribly and then leaving them to die. Pedestrians, bicyclists...he knew what he was doing. At this point I just hope he wasn't the kind of man that would have fled the scene even if he was sober. At least he has the excuse of fleeing because he was severely impaired and didn't know any better. We'll see...

was drinking to excess and then getting in the car and driving drunk resulting in someone getting killed. Trying to run away was incidental to the other series of awful decisions made that night.

You can BET your LIFE SAVINGS that there are leaks in the DA's office and Fierro will get to walk out of the courtroom and across Guadelupe street a free man.

He not a shred of integrity or decency:
he is complete human scum. He deserves a prison boyfriend, a shank and a dirt nap.

Leaks aplenty! How else did the defense find out about the jury selection? I'm sure someone at the D.A.'s office received a cash bonus for that one. The jury is going to get tainted (bribed), and Fierro's attorney is going to come up with every trick in the book.

Fierro is not a MAN, he is a little child who thinks he has not done any wrong.

That goes for the STATE POLICEMAN that was in his car as well..

WAKE up people! If YOUR Government doesn't put this menace in prison, then what's the use of running all those stupid ads about drinking and driving with under the influence..

Make a precedent with this guy and his accomplices..

That would be TRUE justice served..

If the COURTs let him walk, then THEY might as well let all those convicted on drunk driving charges go also...

YES or NO?

Precedent
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Given a determination as to the governing jurisdiction, a court is "bound" to follow a precedent of that jurisdiction only if it is directly in point. In the strongest sense, "directly in point" means that:(1) the question resolved in the precedent case is the same as the question to be resolved in the pending case,(2) resolution of that question was necessary to disposition of the precedent case; (3) the significant facts of the precedent case are also present in the pending case, and (4) no additional facts appear in the pending case that might be treated as significant.[1]

Oh I think he will get some time, just not the full sentence. Fierro's attorney is trying to get the "leaving the scene of a fatal accident" charge dropped by creating a cover story. Sorry, but there is a BIG difference between a human body, and a rock. What a load of ****!

Richardson said that----He WAS DRUNK----he could not even stand up---his #$%^&* lights were off----he was a obscene, filthy drunk who slaugherted a innocent, precious person!!!! It would be sacriligious if he does not go to jail for manslaugherter

Everything that I've heard and read about Carlos Fierro and this ex cop leads me to believe that we are dealing with two pompous horse's glutes. A woman that testified about the cop stated that he was "lecherous" at Willee's bar and was trying to kiss and paw at her, and his advances were unwanted and rebuked. An attorney pal of mine said he knows Carlos and that Carlos thinks that his fecal material doesnt stink. Now, we have Carlos Fierro and his high dollar attorneys trying every legal trick/manuver in the book at a desperate attempt to clutch at legal straws and find a loophole to escape out of. He is making himself out to be a bigger coward/monster than the character Freddy Krueger, who according to the films, got off on a technicality, and walked the streets after getting away with murder. He is not going to ante up and plead "nolo contendre" and shoot for a lesser sentence. Therefore, it is my belief that if he forces the Judicial System to "go the whole 9 yards" and is found guilty, Judge Vigil ought to get the book, and toss it right at his face. I wonder if Armani makes orange jumpsuits?

Okay a lawyer and a police officer obviously already breaking the law by over drinking and getting behind the wheel and into the passenger seat. The same officer that arrests people like his lawyer friend for DWI and the same lawyer that knows the law and should know right from wrong are now on the other end of it because they thought they are above the law. These two cowards drank like no tomorrow not giving a damn about the consequences. SHAME ON THEM. SHAME ON THEM EVEN MORE FOR TAKING THE COWARDLY WAY OUT. The both know the law. Shame on Mr. Fiero for making upa a defense story about being a victim of an attack, come on if my friend is an officer even an off duty officer I would defenitly feel very safe because even I know that an off duty officer can stop and attack on someone! Was this the first time these two drank and didnt give a damn who would get hurt?
Mr. Tenorio may you Rest In Peace and may justice
not fail and if it does don't worry GOD won't fail.. My prayers are with you and your family.

PS: If it would have been ordinary people not in the Law profession they would've been thrown in a cell the very same night no questions asked! But
then agian they probably wouldn't be cowards about the Horrible Act that they committed.
