As soon as I turned 50, I was bombarded by AARP, but I am not retired. I had to keep sending their junk mail back saying that I don't want anything to do with them. The AARP are by far the biggest insurance lobbyiests in the US and I am anti insurance all the way. The only insurance that I buy is what is mandatory- and that is auto. I have been paying social security and medicare for 36 years now, so I will wait until I need to file a claim when I am 65 or older, I don't need no stinkin AARP now !
Another person looking for a healthcare hand out from the government. So when you get sick who's going to pay for your $350,000 dollar hospital bill ? Can't wait to hear this one.

<quoted text>You can have your vaccines, but I would never let my kids have them. They are ineffective and extremely dangerous and expensive. It is all about making money for the pharmaceutical corporations, that is why the government is trying to force vaccines on everybody. The H1N1 virus was cooked up in a lab, and the vaccine has mercury and other toxic elements, I will never take that vaccine, I don't care how much they pay me, no way !
You need help before you hurt someone. The government is helping the drug companies spread H1N1 so they can sell the vaccine. Is this the new Glenn Beck conspiracy theory or your own ? Whacko.

I'm not looking for a handout at all, I just don't want to support the private medical insurance profiteers any more. So I quit paying them over 2 years ago, I am boycotting the profiteers and do not want or need any insurance except for what is mandatory now (auto). I have saved (not spent) over $12,000 dollars since I started the boycott , and calling on others to do the same. That is not chump change to me, but maybe it is to you.

Thank you for having common sense and not allowing the greedy robber insurance companies to get to you. I hope all people, both Dem/Reps and Rep/Dems will follow your footsteps.

The only reason that the AARP supports Obama's plan is because that it promises to keep the private insurance corporations in business, and also mandates that everyone be forced into donating the the corporate insurance welfare program. We have hundreds of CEO's of these private insurance corporations earning $10 to $30 million per year , the CEO of Cignet earned $30.16 million dollars last year alone. Those are good jobs that our country can't afford to do away with now in these hard economic times, and there is no possible way any politician will ever try and do away with the private insurance system.
If Obama gets his way, those of us who refuse to donate will become outlaws and will be forced to not report any earnings at all to avoid detection by the insurance gestapo. It's a crying shame.

Try again, Hannity Jr.
You think he really cares ..... guess again, he will never get the bill he wants unless he goes for tort reform, I mean really gets behind. All he's doing is paying lip service at this point. I will believe when shuts up and makes the changes that need to be made.

By the way united health care (aarp insurance) has other plans that are better for our senior citizens.

I to am a former aarp member.

I guess everyone is aware why AARP supports the socialist bill? It is all about money they will gain money selling supplemental insurance something seniors will need a lot more of once their medicare gets cut. It is all about money that is why I not only quit AARP I sent them a nasty E-mail with my reason for quitting and telling them to shove it.

So are you going to be one of the whinners when you get hurt or sick? Are you going to demand teratment at everyone elses expense? Insurance companys are theives no doubt but it is better than stealing from hard working Americans by not paying for your own health care and driving our costs up. Hospitals like every other buisnesses need to be able to refuse service to non payers. Bet you would see rates drop then.

All you people who are whining about "socialism" (a term which you obviously don't understand) need to get your head out of your butts and think for a minute. We already have a universal "socialist" health care system in this country. Any poor loser can wait until he is deathly ill and go to an emergency room, where he will be treated without regard to whether he can pay, and the rest of us end up footing the bill. If the same person would have gone to a family doctor much earlier, he wouldn't have gotten as sick and his treatment would have been much less expensive. So, yes, we already do have socialist universal health care in the U.S., but it's the most inefficient, expensive, bloated, moronic universal health care system on the planet. And I guess you are all OK with that???
