Sad situation. You will see a plea bargain in this case due the overwhelming evidence and attempt to avoid jail time

Why in the world wasn't there a procedure in place that required "two signatures" on every check that was written? Seems to me it would help stop thefts.

Times are difficult, uncalled for but yet no-one understand the frame of mine.

Taking money from the kids, unacceptable. Throw the book at her and teach her a lesson for all the other Non-profit organization and leagues. We all know its happens.

As stated earlier you need to have a couple signatures but even that can be forge. The president or other board members should have been a little smarter and figured this out before it hit the $32K

Just another worthless crook in a society riddled with low life's and thieves. Stealing money from a youth program is pretty bad.

I agree with Nineteen, that there should be safeguards and audits to prevent such things from happening. Lax oversight always leads to things like this.

Hopefully DA will not agree for plea bargain, she stole kid’s money. Her court date is July 7th 8:30 am at West Covina Municipal court everyone should go from Charter Oak youth organization.

I agree, every kid she stole from should be there, and all through the proceedings. It would be a good lesson for them.

I have no sympathy for her, stealing from the same children she claimed to be "volunteering for". I do however feel sad for her children! They are the ones that will have to endure people's riducule. Let's hope our community will be mindful of her children's feelings.

I think the funniest part of this story is that she used the money for her mortgage, cable bills, and FAST FOOD!?! Really? I've never met this lady, but I can already picture what she looks like. I can see her driving down Badillo with her 44oz Mr. Pibb in one hand, and an Alpha Omega burger in the other.

WOW, this proves that people should not comment about things they dont know about. I used to see Linda all over and now I dont think she has left her house in two years. VERY SAD!!!!! It is a horrible situation. She could not have done this all by herself. Ross you need to step up and account for your participation in this.

Wasn't it only a few seasons ago that a ex-ex-President stepped down for some odd reason? Maybe the Tribune should ask him about this.(maybe Friday at court??????????Wasn't he the the one hugging the CO Head coach after they won CIF last year?? I'm waiting to see his answer...
