As for the endorsements, to me, they mean that these individuals who have spent their professional lives in the economic and monetary fields, think that Obama is the best candidate to get us out of the mess we are in. Apparently there is disagreement on whether or not it worked. The comments I read following your article suggested the people from Illinois emphatically disagreed with the author that they benefited. In other words, they say that they tried it and they will not fall for that gimmick again. You call it flip-flopping, I call it learning from experience.

A letter signed by 100 economists says in part "...research shows that waiving the gas tax would generate major profits for oil companies rather than significantly lowering prices for consumers."

Obama is a joke. He's not going to do anything that Congress, the House & Senate authorize him to do. He will be nothing but an Uncle Tom in most peoples eyes and a joke to others if elected. Obama has no experience at running this country or even running his own household.
