It's a %u@^!ng basketball game!!! 100,000 people just lost their lives in a rather ordinary natural disaster...100s of thousands of Iraqi citizens have lost their lives since the first Desert Storm. Senseless amounts of people are dying from starvation and easily curable disease all over the world. Over 1 million Afghanis lost their lives fighting our "Cold War" with the Russians... C'mon people, get you priorities straight.

Orlando Magic, zzzzero titles. Don't let facts get in the way of your argument. Again, great game tonight. Magic played hard, they are a tough team for sure. Looking forward to Tuesdays game. |

Well friends the Voice of Reason is here now!
All year long you people have said the so called experts that rank NBA teams are fools. Well here it is again just like I said earlier. #10 Ranked Magic beat #16 Ranked Raptors. #5 Ranked Pistons beat #10 Ranked Magic To finish the East off the #1 ranked Celtics will beat the #5 ranked Pistons. As for the Magic... once again VanGundy is not qualified at this time. He is the one that needs too improve immensely. He does not have enough experience to coach a division championship winner. No matter what anyone says the Game was NOT decided by the ref's. What I have said all year long is as follows: Howard can only dunk and rebound. No other skills currently. To many turnovers, poor passer. He is also a VERY passive Big Man. When he gets good defenders like the Pistons...he sulks. Lewis: Not strong, cant handle a good defensive player. 3 shooter only and weak on the boards. Same as he was at Seattle. Nelson: Never was a PG in his life till the Magic experiment. To small and cant defend bigger guards. Bad decision maker. Hedo: Yes he's improved...No he is never going to be a star. Also poor at defense and weak against the power 3/4/5's. Hot shooter occaisionally but usually is stopped by any decent defensive player. Evans: Only a backup 2 just like he was his whole career. Never will be consistant and should STILL be a backup, no thanks to SVG. Bogans: 10 Minute relief man, never will be anything else. Dooling: Just a backup 5 minutes of helter-skelter ball. Then back to the bench. Hamilton showed all his weaknesses tonight. Why talk about anymore players as SVG wont play them. In all reality the Magic are not going to accomplish much as they are and will be lucky to be a 1st round team over the next 3 years at least, maybe 5 the way Otis can mess up a team. No need to go on...deep down you Magic Fans forever know i'm right. But keep the faith...even when Dwight gets tired and leaves who knows... maybe by then some kid from a high school will be even a better project then he is. Sorry I'm so honest and realistic, but thats how it is with the Magic. Good Luck. |

Ya know, it's unfortunate that so many of these posts focus on back and forth rhetoric and 'put-downs'. It was a GOOD GAME from both sides! Once again we can all complain about the referees, but check the box score; free throws were almost even-except for the fact that the Magic missed sooooo many, particularly at the end of the game. Did the refs allow the Pistons to score 15 straight points? By the way, Detroit has enough problems without the sophomoric jabs save the bashing for high school! Go Pistons! Go Magic!

Everyone wants to blame the refs. Every discussion board on every losing city blames the refs and has their own conspiracy. Think about it. Its quite amusing. you dont think our teams in detroit went through that every year. We have no big stars. it took a long time to get a little respect.
how about that flop by evans against prince?! cry all you want but there's bad calls all the way around. we went through that for a long time. once you learn to hit your free throws and win a few playoff series you guys will start to get some respect. thats the nba. but dont blame the refs. thats the ignorance. beside the pistons the magic are one of my favorites. the pistons are getting old and their run is coming to an end in a couple years. I see the Magic winnings some ships with Howard. You guys are close, just a couple players away. detroit is a wonderful city with even better people. its too bad there is so much immaturity, hatred and jealousy. good luck next year magic fans. your time is coming soon!!!...just not this year. |

You know. Sometimes your comments get on my nerves, but I actually agree with you on this one. The Magic aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Otis is an incompetent GM. He can't draft. He crippled the team's salary cap by signing a mediocre player to an 118 million dollar contract. Dwight only plays hard when he wants to. Jameer is by no means a starting point guard. Orlando, welcome to mediocrity for the next 5 years. |

Welp I guess we have to read Lame Jims comments all the way till the end guys..... L-A-M-E........ Hey Jim once the Magic are out of the playoffs what are you gonna do with your spare time....maybe pull the But-t plug out of your A-S-S..........
This Game was a Thriller though very tough loss especially when once again I have to question the Refs call at the end.... Clearly a whistle was blown and clearly Mcdyess should have picked up a Blocking foul for bumbing Turk on his final Drive....... Granted the magic did choke on Freethrows and getting rebounds I still think you make that call cause lord knows if that was Lebron, Billups, Hamilton, or any other star they would have got that call..... Then there would have been a few seconds for the Pistons to make a play on the other side if the magic play good D they win..... But once again we will never know because the dumb refs are Wusses.......... Welp one last chance to win in Detroit im not gonna count them out yet this is the best road team in the league so we will see what happens..... If this is the end of the season for the Magic then Let me say they put on a great showing for fans this year a showing that should leave us all encouraged for the future..... If we can get some bigs heathly for next season watch out the lack of size up front is our biggest flaw sure could have used Battie, Cook or anyone else........ I say keep Jameer and Dooling and Find a vetran point guard.... Also Keep Bogans and maybe throw some cash at Maggette for next year...... But lets go play the rest of this series out and see what happens GO MAGIC..... S-C-R-E-W JIM!!!!!!!!!! |

Can we feed the homless and hire teachers rather than build these clowns a new arena?

Sonny, Det. put Prince on Hedo for cutting that high pick-and-roll and I think down the stretch they didn't want to have a turnover |

If Howard comes up in the 5th game with a 20:20, Magic will win
It's not over yet.Magic has a ton of potential.Game 2&4 were decided by Magic faults.SVG must learn them to eliminate those faults and next year we'll be in the finals.THIS TEAM CAN PLAY VERY WELL ! GO MAGIC ! |
Actually I didn't say a negative word about the game or the Magic in general tonight. I was at the game and the Magic played a good first half and a poor second half. Turnovers, missed free throws, and too many costly mistakes did them in once again. No more talking about predictions or the fact that I may have called this series correctly. None of that is important. It never has been and it never will be. What is important here is that the Magic have a bright future irregardless of what happens in this series with Detroit. So from now on I am only going to post serious remarks here. No more joking around with predictions and silly talk. All that ever did was cause people like yourself to act even more idiotic. So that wasn't getting anybody anywhere. So let's all be positive here. Both as fans of the Magic, and on this forum. After all, that is what it's here for. |

Interesting to witness how a simple basketball game can evolve into civil war...

You orlando fans talking **** about Detroit, shut the fcuk up! Yeah, Detroit is far from perfect, but I'd much rather live here than Orlando. whachya got? fcukin' Disney World? You must be so proud. Okay then, go play with mickey mouse! Meanwhile I'll smoke a joint and watch the Pistons smoke Orlando in game 5.
Taking your frustration from a loss to the Pistons out on the city of Detroit is just gratuitous... What sad people you are... |

Yes you dont expect an 85%+ FT shooter to go 2-6 but it does happen. I have seen some great FT shooters miss over the years. Too bad for Nelson because he was having a good series. |

If you look at the replay on the last drive you can see McDyss shuffled his feet and was not set. He did come from inside the circle to outside the circle. The truth is the refs are not going to call a blocking foul in that situation. Hedo could have just pulled up and put in a 5 footer and we could have won. Then McDyss would have had to go after him and that would have caused a foul to be called. Either way he did it, he would have been under better control and would have justified a foul being called. It was a nice drive and he beat his man, it just didnt go in. It is sad so many people have so many bad things to say over a 1 point game. The Magic have clearly shown they are a good team but lack the seasoning of a great team. Now we have to win 3 in a row and that is not likely even though Cleveland did it last year. So it is possible. Still would like the Magic to get to game seven. I would like them to pick up that experience. Plus it sure would be great to make the Pistons sweat.
