If Jameer Nelson is worth 35 Mill then Chris Paul is worth 350 mill according to otis smith's talent to dollars calculator...

Do not worry Magic fans... for next season Jameer Nelson will have special made shoes with a wooden flat surface that he can use to drible the ball safely.

They have some work to do in the off season. They should all shoot about 1000 free throws each day until next season starts. They were 16 for 28 from the line tonight. THAT SUCKS! Dwight missed 9 of them.) They also need to figure out a way NOT to turn the ball over every other possession.(21 turnovers tonight - ALSO SUCKS! Detroit had THREE!) Dwight Should NOT be the focal point of the offense. I know they like to dump it into him and when double teams come it opens up our 3 point shooters, but Dwight turns it over way too much. On offense he should strictly concentrate on rebounding. He would still get as many points as he does now, because half of those rebounds would result in dunks. I'm so sick of seeing him fumble it away or getting it stripped away from him as he tries to make a move near the basket. They also need to find a bigger/taller point guard (or two). Another glaring weakness... A big strong power forward who could take some of the pressure off of Dwight. Overall, a pretty good season for them, but I feel they are quite capable of beating Detroit, Boston, and/or Cleveland. I look for the Magic to make it to the finals next year IF they can improve the turnover and free throw shooting problems.

A team thats stays together for a while will win together IMO (Why Boston won't win it this year) The pieces are there for the Magic, they just need to add a solid PF, bench help and learn to play together as a team. Since Patrick Ewing helped DW with his close to the basket game, maybe they can bring in Rony Sikley to help him with his game 6 - 8 feet from the rim. lol

I'm excited to see what dead weight they trade/release and who they bring in.

Thanks for the good season Magic.

OK, I'm tired of all of the Jameer Nelson bashing. Here's his stats for the Pistons series:

Averages:
15 Points
5 Assists (His assists are always low, because the Magic always make multiple passes)
5 Rebounds (The last game was the worse, the rest were either 5 or 7 per game)
2 Turnovers (The most in any of the games was only 2 Turnovers.)

As you can see from above, he did not play that badly, except maybe taking a few too many shots in some of the games.
Good Play

So far in the playoffs. The home team has won 15 or 16 games. Only the Magic have lost at home. What a surprise. The Magic lose, or is it lost.

My take on the series. I was extremely wrong when I said that the Magic wouldn't lose with Billups out. Stuckey did a great job filling in.

I bashed the officials all series and I'm not going to say anything else about it, except that this was the worse officiated series I watched since the Lakers-Sacramento series a few years back. Every call went to Detroit when it mattered.

The Magic, though, played like the team of last year the last couple games. The front court combined for 15 turnovers in game 5 and the Pistons only had 3 all game. Again Dwight can't make free throws and if he made 75%, the Magic would have won. Same story in game 4.

Detroit has our number. But here's another thing: we were missing 2 bigs the whole series. Yeah, they were missing Billups, but they had depth to fall back to. All we had was Gortat and Foyle (which Stan could see that he could not move anymore.)

Well, here's to next year. Dwight will work hard this summer and will come out with some more moves. Since this team will stay pretty much the same, minus the reserves, we'll get some chemistry going, like the Pistons have, and next year we should be able to get more wins and become a force in the playoffs, especially with Boston and Detroit getting older.

Dismissing my claims an accusing me of being a Conspiracy Theorist Nut only shows your naivetés I guess you also believe in Fary Tales.
There are all kinds of conspiracies conducted daily around the world. There is the one that said Iraq had Nuclear Weapons, there is the one that said that Brittney Spears had talent, there is the one that said the three point shot was established to give the white man a chance, There is the one that says that many players had been black balled in the pass just because the whims of well connected owners there is yet another that says Jameer is the best available PG in the Magic’s and yet another that says that Carlos is being setup to fail as an act of revenge for submitting that same group of people that came into power in 2000 with the promise of restoring the supremacy of USA basketball in the world to Ridicule and Humiliation in the opening game of the 2004 Olympics.
The problem with conspiracies is that they rarely work because, you can not keep a good man down.
Carlos has demonstrated without any doubt to all unbiased knowledgeable basketball fan that he has been a big part of the success the Magic’s have enjoyed in the past 2 years.

I have to give your guys props. Great series, and the 4-1 doesn't really reflect the toughness. I have to admit I wanted Orlando because I think we match up really well from a Det perspective. Our guards are too experienced. Here is where the Magic can improve. Right now they are a great 3 pt. shooting team, but they are not a great offensive team. That offensive execution that wins games in the 4th can only come with coaching, practice, and familiarity. You may notice that in the last 5-7 years, Detroit and San Antonio have been the best in that respect. Their core players have also been together a long time. I like your team and hope you guys continue to improve.

It was a great year. Back last December I predicted the Magic were a second round playoff team and I nearly got laughed off the planet. by February most were agreeing with me. Most of you who post such idiotic negative posts simply have no life. The Magic are not that far from being a NBA finalist team. the only real difference between us and the the Pistons was FT shooting. We missed 12 they missed one. The fact that we can have so many turnovers and keep the games close shows how good we really are. Does Hedo have to have stitches to get a foul call? Dang Prince had his forearm right across his face. Gortat has become a nice surprise. Would not be surprised to see Foyle opt out and leave. Battie returning and getting another banger with Cook and Lewis would give us a great front line with Hedo and Lewis sharing SF we would be the best frontline in the league. I have come to like Jameer but we do need another good PG. Sorry guys it is not Carlos either. We have 6-8 guys that may not be back next year so we can pick up some nice additions. Sooner or later a couple of vets will want to join this team and fill in the experience gaps.

the magic have a lot of growing up to do. Van Gundy is a helluva coach. To get out that squad what he did holes in all (including terrible guards and a offensively limited Dwight Howard) was incredible. Not ready yet.

Thanks for the compliment and I agree. I will now root for Detroit to win it all. I think they can do it now that Boston has shown they fall apart in the playoffs. I cant see Doc outcoaching the Pistons. I never believed Cleveland could take them on but man the Celtics look so disjointed now. And Cleveland is nowhere as good as they were last year.

Ozzy, you're very gracious in defeat. I like the kid we drafted this past off-season as well. He is the prototypical Piston's combo-guard - good ball handling skills, solid free-throw shooting, and a decent shot.
The Pistons also relied too much on the outside shot in this series. 36% shooting is brutal.
As for your guys - Howard is gonna be a beast if he works on his free throws and a mid-range shot. You just need to get him some help.
Good luck next year - Go Pistons!
I agree...with orlando in the penalty with 5 mins to go...the stones stopped going inside...once again flip failed to adjust...

to all you darn arroyo fans...he sucks...he sucked in detroit...he's too worried about his own stats to be a successful pg...every time he shot the ball i cringed as it hit brick...he's also turnover prone...that's the reason svg didn't play him...magic should get rid of him...

finally...is it me or is everyone drunk on this board...either that or they can't spell for crap...i hope it's the former

and for the record the Pistons where without Chauncey Billups and the Magic didn't capitalized that. Amazingly Jameer did a great job making another nobody recognized in the league, but it was Jameer who make Rodney Stuckey look as good as he did. And also I want to add that a team without a bench don't stan a chance in the playoffs, only 1 guy did a good job from the bench, Keith Bogans...take care and I hope Arroyo isn't back on this worthless team.
