Last year, the Pats asked that the Jets cameraman be removed, because he was filming without permission. This is the EXACT scenario as Game 1 this season, but with the team roles switched.
Why weren't they punished? My guess is that Belichick really didn't care all that much to pursue it with the league, but those two have a history. I seem to recall the Jets tampering with Deion Branch, for openers.
The Pats asked for the Jets camerman to be removed not because the Jets were filming without permission or were in violation of league rules. The Jets asked for and were granted permission. It is just another example of Belicheat being a scumbag and a poor sportsman. There is a long list of questionable actions by Belicheat and I am just glad he has finally been exposed as a cheater. And the Jets were never proven to be tampering with Deion Branch. The league looked into and there was no evidence to support this.

The NFL also confirmed the Jets didn't break any rules.

"It is not uncommon for visiting team video crews to request permission to shoot coaching video from both upper end zone positions," spokesman Greg Aiello said. "Home clubs must provide visiting clubs with equal vantage points for the taping of games. Teams typically shoot coaching video from one upper 50-yard line location and one upper end zone location, but there are no restrictions on shooting from both upper end zone positions as long as the opportunity is provided to both teams. No permission is needed from the league office."

Here's something else interesting: Matt Walsh just told Goodell that BB's favorite cereal is CheaterO's.

The Jets cameraman was removed for taping the game from the endzone, which is legal, but in this instance was an issue because the Patriots apparently did not give pre-approval. Taping games from the endzone is a common practice in the NFL, and one that is approved and every stadium by the home team.

The Patriots cameraman was removed and had his equipment confiscated by the NFL for taping coaches signals (and corresponding formations / plays) from the sidelines. It was later discovered that the practice had gone on since 2000 and also included offensive signals (and corresponding formations / plays) from both the sidelines and the stands.

Yeah. But I am actually from New Hampshire, and am a long time NY Football Giants fan. I despise Belichek.
Go G-men!!!!
Well I for one was cheering for the G-men this past superbowl. The best part was not only that the Pats lost but that every Pats fan was robbed of enjoying the best Superbowl game ever. Poetry.

Bruce Dickenson is dumb. I bet he is actually a Bills fan.

Regardless, Belichick smells like syrup, poop and grundle sweat.

Crazy as it sounds, I find Patriots fans more tolerable then Giants fans, but that's just me.

I mean, at the end of the day, the Jets - Patriots rivalry is about as much of a rivalry as Hydrox and Oreos. We are consistently inferior to them, and until we get rid of Mangini and send Tannenbaum back to the accounting department, we will remain inferior.

Maybe, but he definitely said that the tapes weren't used during games. Oh, and he denied that there was ever any taping of the Rams' walkthrough.

Please, do go on about the cheating, though. It makes so much more sense now.

Your own newspaper reported the story about RAM's walkthrough. Thomasse is a real poet. Go yell at him about that one.

I actually really like Bill Belicheat. Classy move leaving his team on the field after a miserable loss.

2007 Patriots 18 wins, one GIANT loss. 18 and 1 boys. Can you say they were decheated?

I mean, as much as it sucks to say it...Oreos are way better then Hydrox. The Sunshine Bakerman is a joke compared to the good people of Nabisco.

Sadly, Eric Mangini is our Sunshine Bakerman...and for now, we are stuck with Hydrox cookies instead of Oreos.

The arrogance of Wally Matthews strikes again. How the hell do you know what bothers Belechick more???
Did you interview the guy? Know him personally? Got any quotes on the subject? None of the above. I must say you should start writing fiction you're pretty good at it.
