Once again, butting in. Spraying sounds like the easy way to deal with a huge and growing problem. Let's spray, then bring in the immigrants from that country because they have no food because we have destroyed their food growing abilities. Good idea. Why not just create a hybrid plant to destroy itself and plant a bunch of those in the fields so that the drug producing plants cannot regenerate year after year? As they produce with their counterparts in that field they will just die. That way you are just dealing with the "bad plant" and not the surrounding plants.

What does it take for the US govt. to learn from its mistake in Vietnam? Another generation of dioxin-poisoned population. It's apparent that the health of civilians and US soldiers is not important because it's more important to fight the so-called "terrorists" to protect the American people?!

Though I question the possible political fall out of this strategy.

Mass killing of plants and ultimately people and wildlife is never a good solution. Can't this opium be sold to pharmecuticals companies for legitimate uses?

They just want to keep making the chemical companies rich. Chemical companies give big campaign contributions. The system sucks. Oil is high. mass problems everywhere. And the stock market is at record highs. This is a corrupt lying system designed for a few select rich. The country is headed for a meltdown of historic proportions. Most likely followed by a worldwide crash. Superpower out.

Agent Orange used in Viet Nam or Glyfosato used in Colombia, are chemical that produce no efects in plants or animals. We Colombians ask the American Government, why you dont use them to finish the growing harvest of Marijuana en America...? That is a real problem for you Americans, not our problem. Let us fix them our way...

You will always have drugs and problems associated with drug abuse. The Govt is powerless and impotent. Use the money for a better quality of life and you just may have less abuse. What the Govt does today increases drug abuse. And empty out most of the people in jail. Millions are in there for drugs. That is one very corrupt system we have in America today.
