He doesn't even know what he's saying. Like I said before, he needs a life vest, and quick! The guy is basically a walking (at least I assume he's somewhat upright) contradiction. I see this moron for what he is: a pseudo-intellectual who loves to argue. He clearly doesn't have a soapbox to stand on, but will argue against whatever side the majority is on. He is just another troll. I say we just ignore him and give him what he DOESN'T want. Boycott Michael! Here's Mike's quote:
"RESQ, I like my neighborhood and never refer to it as a dump. THe fact that cops use my skin color vs. my neighborhood as an excuse to stop and frisk me, evidences even more that it is a racial issue. Genius, if a cop uses race as a pretext to stop someone, that is not only illegal, but stupid.
During my 3 stop and frisks, at no time did I enter or leave a known drug spot, at no time did I wear bulky or suspicious clothing, and at no time was I or any of my friends charged with illegality. Yet, when asked why we/I were/was stopped, I am verbally harassed and told to be thankful I am not being run in, or to "stop pushing my luck".....and you say this is good policing?"
So--what exactly are you saying, Mike?
That you're frequently stopped because you're white?
Sounds to me like that might negate your claims that the cops only stop "dark-skinned" persons, or that they discriminate based on who they stop.
First - of course they discriminate who they stop. If you are acting funny, fidgeting with your hands in your pockets, etc etc, then they will "hone in" on you. Same for me, for Joe Schmoe, for everyone.
Sooo...one more time, can you explain your argument again? I'm lost:
You claim cops employ discriminatory practices of stopping & frisking "dark-skinned" persons, but then claim that your stops were based on bias and unclear reasons (hence you extrapolate that they were discriminatory in their choice to stop you)....
But yet you're white.
I dunno -- sounds pretty UNbiased to me!

I claimed discriminatory practices when an NYPD officer stops someone BASED ON SKIN COLOR.....regardless of that skin color, but BASED ON IT.
Hence, if I am walking toward the LIRR on Sutphin Blvd., just because I am a white guy walking on a public street in a predominantly black neighborhood, IS NOT A REASON TO STOP AND QUESTION ME. Please, re-read my posts. Did I state "only dark skinned people are stopped and frisked"? Don't think so. Also, it's not my claim that blacks are stopped more...it's in the NYPD's OWN DATA. Again, visit the NYS Attorney General website, search for their Stop and Frisk Report, and read same. It explains it far better than I do. The dark skin bias, is blatant, when viewed in the context of what color have the UNARMED VICTIMS SHOT DUE TO a Police Officer's ERRONEOUS PERCEPTION of a weapon. Hopefully, we'll get a Federal Investigation into the unequal enforcement of the law in NYC....as well as the strange coincidence that only unarmed dark skinned males get shot by the NYPD. |

Boycott away, dopey. I post only my opinion, and could care less what the majority or minority number of posters think about same. It's called AN OPINION for a reason.
Again, if I cared about popularity, I'd be posting the same regurgitated garbage you fellators spout. |

These people love to waste taxpayer money. Now of course the Governor is going to join in. Any excuse to party, goof off and waste taxpayer money. Thats their favorite activity. They have become EXPERTS at it. And if we get a black president, will he also join in?
Who is running the show? The devil? We need a miracle. |
I have to give them credit for being smart enough to hand pick the ones who were arrested. Some of them might not have made it out of jail because of warrants. |
If anyone doesn't like or want police brutality, I can tell you how to avoid it COMPLETELY. Don't do anything wrong.
And incidently, going outside at 2 and 3 am is not a good idea either. And if you do have to be out there be very careful. |
The cops being black is of no consequence if you had to live in this community and worry about getting hit by a stray maybe you would care. but since this guy doesnt look like natalie hollaway noone value his life or those in these communities. Now what do you think will haoppen when an officer need info on a murder or something
no one knows anything allthis does is make life worse for the whole community and make the job of police officers like my uncle Detective Leroy Gomes more difficult. |

Pat, sadly, there are too many documented cases where people were doing nothing wrong, yet ended up stopped and frisked, or hauled into the precinct, due to an officer's misconceptions and erronous perceptions.
A teacher on lunch break, got hauled into the pct and held until AFTER school was let out. Given phony summonses that were dismissed, he was never informed of why his vehicle was first stopped, and for some reason, none of his summonses were for a traffic violation. The AG's report on Stop and Frisk details even more cases like that. My own personal experience and that of countless others, who feel we have a right to be on a public sidewalk without being stopped and felt up...I know, us and our crazy ideas. |

Mike. you're having trouble concealing your true colors. After you was Tazed and arrested you've embarked in a relentless campaign with an anti-cop agenda.
You and Pete are two peas in the pod. |
Who's pete? Again, it's not hard to see the difference between a pig and a good cop. Queens cops who arrested the guy who firebombed their car...good cops.(Pigs would have shot the man.) Cops who shoot ARMED folks...great cops.(Pigs shoot unarmed people, for some reason only dark skinned ones)
Cops would pull the suspect out of a wrecked vehicle and perform life-saving techniques.(Pigs yank out suspects and beat them down, even handcuffing unconsious and bleeding suspects.) Not that hard, at least in my opinion. Good cop would explain why he stopped someone, after finding no illegality afoot. Pigs threaten and cop an attitude for having a civilian dare to question them. It's called logic and common sense. |
Referring to any group of US citizens as pigs shows ignorance.
You may call it common sense, but I have never in my life been arrested as you have. Our common sense differs. |
Referring to any group as thugs and such, show more ignorance...in my opinion. True, most sense isn't that common. I am complaining of stop and frisks, vehicular stops and other interactions, not arrests.
Just as a good cop would have ticketed the SUV Zeigler was driving (for parking @ a hydrant) instead of a) pulling a gun on a superior officer or b) ignoring the blatant mis-use of LE equipment and parking violation....instead, some dopey pigs try to yank him out of the car, and don't believe their eyes when he shows them ID (and his superior rank...) Even better, Zeigler has headed the Community Affairs Bureau since January 2006. His wife, Neldra Zeigler, is the NYPD's deputy commissioner for equal employment opportunity. Zeigler also had a gun pulled on him in 2006 when a State Department agent at first didn't believe his ID at a fund-raiser at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel. Federal supervisors later apologized. But you freaks could be right....race HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT....ha ha ha ha ha ha, morons. I couldn't write it better myself....all my hatred towards Stop and Frisk, and the NYPD pulls one on it's top ranked uniform black man...it's like I write this stuff myself... |
You continue to guess at State laws and are again wrong. Look at your VTL, Sect. 1202, 2., B.
If someone is behind the wheel and readily capable of moving from the hydrant it is not a violation as long as he/ she is a licensed driver. You guessed incorrectly at Miranda regarding interrogating of juveniles, Stop, Question, and Frisk, 140.50 CPL, and now the VTL. I hope you do better with clients as a paralegal. |
Zeigler sounds like an arrogant fool who's very impressed with himself. I bet his first words were along the lines,
Do you know who I am? Screw him, the whiner. He should've gotten the summons for being a ****. |
Run, dopey...only a lawyer can go over the law with clients. He was parked at a hydrant, whcih raises suspicion. But once he id'd himself, that should have ended the inquiry, and began one in which the simple question "Why are you using an NYPD vehicle off-duty" should have been asked.
Instead, we get 2 dopes from the KBM school of security boobs, who see a black man, in a nice vehicle, and they sense criminality afoot. Believing that this man would give them FALSE ID (and commit the crime of impersonating an officer), they attempt to enter his vehicle, WITHOUT ASKING......and ignoring his previous attempts to both ID himself as A COP and SUPERIOR OFFICEr..... If being a **** were summonsable, you, the fake mentor, Craptain Denies, KKKBM and many other as well as myself would be flat broke and have enormous summonses on record. |

I'd sit here and argue with the dissenters, but there's no point in arguing with those that haven't the ability to comprehend conclusive facts and evidence.
This Federal Investigation might uncover more information -- but what happens if they decide the same as Judge Cooperman? Shucks. Guess you'll have to move elsewhere. As I stated before -- If you don't like it, get a life, and move somewhere else. There's plenty of inner-urban areas (ahem, ahem: Detroit) that have severe corruption of the police force...and don't give a da*mn what you do, who you are, or what color your skin is. So move there. I'm tired of this race baiting; and your arguments of incompetence. Just because you've been targeted for your own choices does not mean that we all fall under the same "victim" clause. Grow up. If you think that it's such a problem, then stop complaining and DO something about it. Prove us wrong. IMPROVE yourself -- heck, run for president! Obviously our country is so racist, considering our Presidential candidates, right? Question is: Do you see HIM running around playing the "Oh Woe's Me" race card? Yeah, didn't think so. |
Hey, it's your right to turn a blind eye to ineptitude and discrimination.....just as it is my right to condemn same when and where I see it.
If not race, then you tell me they factors behind more blacks being stop and frisked than TOTAL PEOPLE ARRESTED.....explain why only UNARMED PEOPLE WITH DARK SKIN end up shot by the NYPD....and why a Police Stop of an outranking NYPD officer didn't end upon that officer ID'ing himself. By all means, if it's not corruption, ineptitude and discrimination, WHAT IS IT? |

The bottomline is if you take all races away a man who was unarmed lost his life by 51 rounds being fired. I mean what were the police thinking? That he could magically survive and kill after the first 20? They were wrong for that and unfortunately they will probably get away with it. Being in a bad neighborhood is no excuse to automatically lable someone as a gangbanger or troublemaker. Going to a strip club is one of many wild things that men do before they get married. There is nothing unusual about that and besides what a person does in their spare time is their business.
Let's cover this for the millionth time. He wasn't getting married the next day, as no marriage license was issued. Also, Sean Bell was a thrice convicted felon: two convictions for drug trafficking (sold crack twice to undercover cops) and one for illegal firearm possession. He wasn't quite the saint you wish he was. Did the cops use poor judgment in firing so many rounds? Probably, but that is difficult to determine as neither of us were there. Sean Bell used his car as a weapon, hitting other vehicles, an undercover officer and a storefront. I would feel pretty threated too if I was the cop he was driving towards. Whatever the case may be, the judge has determined that there was no criminal INTENT on behalf of the officers. If only the same could be said for Sean Bell, who started this whole thing when he threatened to use a gun as he was attempting to solicit the services of a prostitute. A fine, upstanding citizen? I think not. |
