1 What we need to do is STOP allowing anyone born here under any circumstances to automatically become a citizen, it is being abused horribly. The amendment allowing it was NOT written to support people here illegally, as it's author has clearly stated. Looking at the churches covenents is irrelevent to the law. |

1 However, entering the worst recession in generations isn't reason enough to deny any type of sanctuary to illegal aliens. There is also the rule of law, which in my opinion, is the most important reason. One set of laws for all of the people with no one above the law. That means illegal aliens are not above the law nor the churches who choose to become political on the issue. Marciano is right, this is America. The churches are free to do what they want (within the law), just like we are free to petition local, state and federal governments to reverse their tax exempt status. We are also free to criticize the churches blatant political activism and to rightly point out if and when they are breaking the laws in the same manner in which the people they advocate for do. In closing, why don't churches advocate for those citizens killed by illegal aliens or the those who have had to close businesses or lost jobs or had their wages suppressed due to cheap and illegal labor? Why don't they advocate for the American children who are having their educational and healthcare resources stolen? These poor American children who are having their futures compromised because they are dumbed down while non English speaking students, who don't belong here, catch up? I guess there are differing degrees to being God's children. The American people evidently, in the church's and John McCain's eyes, are the lesser of God's children. Talk about hypocrisy. |

If you cannot respect the sovereignty of the United States of America, why would anyone respect the sovereignty of your nation? If you want to live in the United States, just immigrate legally, and you are more than welcome.
