I am so sorry to hear about Dr,collison and his son. I talked to Dr. collison casually because I am a pharmacy tech and on occasion, had to call his office to clarify a prescription. My heart goes out to his family and collegues.I only hope that neither of them suffered...

Dr. Hector Collison was one of the most hardest working cardiologist I ever met. He never seemed to stop working, frequenting many hospitals around the D.C. metro and Annapolis areas. This will be a tragic loss for his family, patients, friends, and the community. Heartfelt regards and deepest of sympathy.

We the Fletcher Family of Silver Spring, Maryland are truly heartbroken to learn of the untimely deaths of Dr. Hector K. Collison and his precious son.

We extend our condolences to his remaining family members, both immediate and extended. We also offer our sympathy to the members of his staff, especially to his trusted medical assistant, Shirley Etwaroo.
We knew Dr. Collison very well, as he was the longtime doctor and cherished, personal friend of my mother, Marian R. Fletcher.

Dr. Collison was truly the consummate professional -- an expert in his field, hardworking, and compassionate. He was also a loving family man, whose "joie de vivre" attracted a wide circle of friends.

Whether patient, friend, colleague or employee, we will miss Dr. Collison terribly. We will not soon recover from this tragic loss to the medical profession, as well as to the community he served.

May the everlasting light shine upon him and his beloved son. May we who are left behind find comfort in our memories.

As with so many other readers and patients Doctor Collinson SAVED MY LIFE. We talked about flying on many of my office visits and he told me when he was going to get his license. He was a great doctor and a good friend, I say friend because Doctor Collinson would listen and talk to his patients not just push them along, he will be missed. My condolences go out to his family, may GOD bless you all.

I am a medical student who shadowed Dr. Collison during my breaks from school. He taught me that to be a doctor was to be a teacher to your patients. He showed me through his actions how to care and to be compassionate to his patients. Despite of his busy schedule, he made time for me and for so many others around him. I feel honored to have known him as my teacher and he was a like a father-figure to me. I hope that one day that I can only be half the doctor that he was. He will truly be missed. My heart goes out to his family for their loss.

My heart and Love goes out to the family, and all those who life was touched by Dr. Collison. He was a dynamic cCardiologist, who had a love for ensuring that the heart of every patient was working the way God intended. He was gifted with all matters of the heart. I will miss his warm smile and gentle bedside manner, that ways always calming and soothing.

May God embrace you and your son, and comfort your Family, Friends, and all those touched by your life.
