It's a hell of a situation when the police department can assest a teacher on the word of a sniveling little brat. Too bad the cops don't have even the intelligence that was being afforded the lying twelve year old brat.

The teacher should sue the cops, the school system, the lying brat, and the brat's parents.

If the cops even questioned any of other students I'd like to see how they could get their testimony into even an honest Kiddie Court without it being thrown out as being coerced and given under duress.

What is the immigration status of the little false accuser and of his parents.

Kind of strange that the first call that the parents made was to the police. Most parents I think, including myself, would have contacted the school first and talked to the principal.

And we wonder why no one wants to teach. Have you ever been in a classroom and watched how the students treat the teacher? the young kids today fear absolutely no one, lest of all teachers. This school is in Fairfax County, one of the best counties in the country for education and now this teacher's reputation is ruined on what might be a lie. Surely, if the students was physically abused by the teacher, someone else would have seen it. In Fairfax County, there are always helpers, aides, or special teachers in the classroom. Shame on the parents for jumping the gun. Could they have not waited and met first with the teacher and principal, gotten some facts. I'm quite sure if the principal had any evidence this to be true, the appropriate action would have been taken.

Yeah, the brat probablly is lying or sniffling home with his sobby parents. But let the truth come out. In time it will. One has to wonder if schools are for learning or putting up with uncontrolable brats. Ok, give the teacher the benefit of the doubt. Some of these kids need a fist upside the head anyway. Wow, by the looks of that battleaxe, I might not want to go up against her.

Even if the child is lying, now, the teacher will have an arrest on her record in the system. Even if the arrest is expunged, whenever her record is reviewed, she will have to prove her innocence to every future job opportunity or background investigation, for the rest of her life. On another note, the kid probably needs a whipping, as well as the parents.

More than likely this 12 year old probably provoked her. We wonder what is happening in the world when we see the horrific crimes being committed by our children. I think you will find the acceleration of these terrible incidents began when we took God out of the schools and then took the authority away from the teachers and even worse, the parents! It's a shame that kids cannot even be disciplined in a way necessary without someone being accused of abuse! No wonder we have a generation coming up of rebellious and disrespecting people.

Why would the media post the Teacher's picture before any type of truth comes to light. Sort of scary to think you can be arrested for a disgruntled student and wind up on the net without your side being told. Good job NBC 4!

I hope everything works out for the teacher.
Its a shame...I would always be scared to get in trouble at school, cause i know i would get an **** whoopin once i got home because the school would call your parents.
And when i did get in trouble.....its all she wrote!

Giving kids whoopins need to be reinstated without the threat of calling CPS and kids using to get away with punishments.

But its crazy in the story it says they are investigating the childs actions before this happened.

so that means he was being a badass, and teacher put him in check or embarassed him and hes looking to get her back.

I am a teacher in PG County. I am sitting in class right now waiting for my students to finish a test. I can't tell you how many times in the last 40 minutes I have asked someone to close their mouths, sit in their seats, stop touching, stop hitting, stop playing, or whatever else have you. Some times the kids try to give you a hug or play with you and when you say stop, they don't. The kids treat it as a game. It's sad to know that she was presumed guilty before she was found in a court of law guilty. I teach in a middle school, students threaten us all the time and hit us as well but our administrators do nothing about it. Hopefully, the parents will see that if the tables were turned, they would have thought twice about their actions.

The article did not say but it did say the student was NOT injured!! She probably verbably embarrassed him in front of his class mates and he considers that assult. I agree with most that the parents handled it the wrong way. Children do lie!!

Teachers are trained to handle children who have behavioral problems. I can't believe you actually say you have "alot of pent up anger" and are assuming the teacher is wrong. Let me ask, your child does no wrong, am I right, and yes, your child fears nothing or no one, and pretty much on their own. I could tell.
