Mandating stiffer laws seem to just provide a rather cosmetic solution to the problem but it is the individual that has to be dealt with. To cut down on crime some people are making it difficult for people to steal weapons from places, i.e., using sophisticated security detail, stronger locks on doors and a neighborhood watch for strange traffic. In retrospect, I think that it all comes down to the kind of neighborhood that we are in and the local bureaucracy that controls the neighborhoods.
