In addition to the cost to the global (and mainly the U.S.) economy that the current home/housing crisis that must now be bourne by the U.S. tax payer (more than 1/2 a Billion Dollars); the continuous cost of illegal immigrants costs many many millions of dollars: unpaid taxes - added primary and secondary schooling education - added unpaid medical services (which in turn are paid by law-abiding citizens) - the cost of legal prosecutions - the cost of incarcerations of convicted felons (who are in the country illegally) - the loss of life and livelyhood due to these crimes (MS-13 gangs are 1 example). Well, it's about time the FEDERAL government began supporting the local governments in the discovery and subsequent removal of illegal aliens. While illegal immigration is not the root of all our (U.S.) problems, this issue impacts upon all our social issues and therefore has a DIRECT affect on all our social issues.

I like how they failed to mention the resort in question... And forget about the sole care giver crap too.

Close the boarders, close our schools, hospitals, and our jails... Send them back to where they came.
If they want to stay too bad... Go through the process my father went through. Or go to France.

We need to stop this we need to stop shopping and giving our money to places that support or exploit this decay of our great nation...

I am glad that ICE is doing its job! Maybe now I can find a job, and not be discriminated against because I'm not bi-lingual or will not accept low wages!

59 is a joke, we have a chicken processing plant here with 800 employees, my guess 750 are hispanic. That would equate to a very large number of illegals working there. You would think the plant would be an obvious target, but nothing seems to be happening. Why?

It's about time, round them all up and send them back and the one's with money in the bank and in their pockets confiscate it to pay for their transportation back.

This is an encouraging sign but it's just the tip of the iceberg. This should be happening all over the country. Even if only half of these freeloaders get rounded up and sent back where they came from, it's still a very large number and it's much better that letting this place turn into a third world dumping ground. (which many suburbs already have) we can wash our own cloths and cook our own food and take care of our lawns just fine. Not to mention all the negative effects they're having on our public schools and hospitals. NO question about it, this crap has GOT TO STOP.

Those same advocates would probably accuse law enforcement of not taking their identity fraud seriously, if police didn't do anything for them. I wonder if they would say the same thing if they had their SSN card and identity stolen, and someone was using their information to gain employment, and then you have to pay into a higher tax bracket, so instead of expecting a refund you owe the IRS $7000 in back taxes. Try proving the IRS wrong, advocates of immigrants or not, you will spend time, money, and effort obtaining a lawyer and fighting the IRS all because someone used your identity. So you made too much money, yet you have to prove that you didn't work two, maybe three, even forty jobs. Is ICE really wasting taxpayer dollars, or saving tax dollars? Reality, advocates don't know how to do the math. The continuous use of SSN fraud creates and generates paperwork, IRS gets paper, local and state gets paper, and when you the advocate calls the police for a identity theft report, you have just paid to generate that report, then a detective working overtime has gotten that paperwork, he finds leads and relays it to the other local jurisdictions, and those detectives follow up, costing tax payer dollars, then they relay that to federal investigators who work on the case and additional dollars are spent paying for their services. Quickly adding up, we have paid 2 local jurisdictions, and 1 federal agency. That one case probably cost $30,000, yes that's right $30k. The cost of deportation rather than detaining is $600, as opposed to $50 a day at a overcrowded facility. Advocates, do the math before you put your foot in your mouth. Crime costs everyone. If it upsets advocates, then they should help illegals by financially supporting them, so they won't have to steal or use someone else's identity.

In response to JPJr's comment. Yes, indeed we probably all were, whether anglo-saxon or not most people still struggled and lived the right way. Most didn't steal someone's identity to work illegally. They just worked hard with who they were and what they had. Do you condone identity theft? Is it okay if someone used your SSN to get a job, and then you have to pay the higher tax bracket, instead of getting a refund you owe the IRS $7000. JPJr how do you feel about that?
