Just bought one f/ Kohls yesterday-$28 and change on sale- already been using it like crazy- perfect for two poeple. As long as you follow the care instructions I think it will be a good product. Many people get things like this and dont care for it as suggested, then wonder why they are having problems with it. I'm glad i bought one- even made some yummy chocolate cake!!

I understand what you mean, i did the same but when i called them and reported the problem, they said they would ship me a new one for the cost of shipping.
They did, the whole entire order, all the extras and all.
I was suprised but thrilled to have another.
now, no one cooks in it but me, no metal or anyone else cleans it.
I did notice with my first one that i had put water in it to "soak" stuff to get it off easier because i forgot to spray it. it the water you put in it is cold or the cooker is still very hot. it will bubble the coating.. that was my problem anyway.. so now it's lots of cooking spray and cleaned with a paper towel when still warm. haven't had a problem sence.
hope it helps.

the GT Express is a problem
I have had one for over a year-- it worked generally well and was "fun"-- however now that the year warranty is up-- all of a sudden when wiping it out -- the teflon coating pieces start flaking off.
I contacted the customer service- apologies all over the place-- but will not do anything to help the matter.
I now believe that this product may be a health hazard and consumer should beware

I have had this thing a day and half, and I have cooked four things all ready! its awesome!
I have a full time job, and I goto college part time, and I just think this thing is amazing. Mom got it for me for my 21st birthday.

Honestly, even if this does break, I would get another one. What's $30 a year when it saves time in cooking cleaning, and calories?:)

I have been wanting the Express, and recently spoke of this to a friend. I am so lucky to find it at a yard sale for only $2 (no tax or shipping), but no recipe book. I have found just how the machine works and have made several mistakes, but have got it down pat now. When makind cornbread, i put a tsp of oil in the bottom and make sure I dont over fill it. and I used the toaster over to reheat the cornbread to a crispy brown. To whomever dont like theirs, I will be glad to take your recipe book. LOL Love the machine so far. Dont use metal around the teflon coating. and dont clean with cold water on hot surface. wait for it to cool down. Happy Trails...soffie

Does anyone have a recipe to make cheese blintzes in the Xpress 101? I was SURE I had seen such a recipe but now can't find it anywhere.

Just got my GTXpress 101 at Kohls for $26 + tax - then I had a $10 off coupon - so out the door it was about $19. Looking forward to trying some of the recipes after watching the infomercial and having friends who love theirs.

Before using it I read the instructions completely and will follow their recommendations.

Buy one at a yard sale, thrift store or an estate sale. I just bought one for $4.95 at a thrift store. If I do not like it, I will return it and let the thrift store resell it. If you don't want to spend big money trying out new products, this it the cheapest way.

I got the Gt Express as a gift. I was reading about it and I think it is a rip off for the price they ask. They pay people %15 on their sales for advertising. Although they will only allow people to collect up to $25.00 a month. POINT BEING: THEY ARE NOT ONLY RIPING US OFF THEY ARE RIPPING OFF THEIR OWN CLIENTS. WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT DONT USE OTHEER PEOPLES ADVERTISMENTS. ALL THAT EXTRA MONEY FOR ADVERTISING GOES INTO THEIR POCKETS. MAKES ME WOUNDER WHAT ELSE ARE THEY RIPPING US OFF ON. I will not buy one but will enjoy mine. lol!
