PLEASE! Open your eyes. They learn about this crap more and more through tv, music, videos, internet, games, etc. There was a study done saying the average age for first-time-sex is now 9....several years ago that age was 12. Blaim the world we live in and how we accept this trash on our airwaves. A parent can only screen so much.

Example: I dont think its appropriate to air commercials for the 40yrold Virgin movie during the morning hours of Saturday on a childrens network but yet 'they' allow it.

Thank the DHS across the US. You do ANYTHING these days to discipline your child and its considered abuse. Ive cared for more children than I can count in the 25 years of service and I thank God every day I do not have kids. I am continuing my childfree lifestyle. I will be 35 soon, in a wonderful and mutual partnership with a childree man.

I'm pretty sure once they sift through the facts of the case they'll find out someone molested the rapist. That's usually how young kids get these twisted sexual deviations. They feel helpless in their own minds and seek someone else to victimize.

Anyone worth their salt as an investigator would be looking into this to see if this boy is also a victim of the same thing. Most children who act out this way have experienced the same thing. Especially at such a young age.

That does it!

I am staying away from the Connecticut shoreline. The place is populated by deviant sexual perverts, crazed suicidal drivers & hedge fund managers

Well...lets face it..he was most likely victimized at some point in his life. We can all be sure it was by someone already caught by cops then released because of CT State Reps unwillingness to set manditory lengthy minimums for predatorial and violent offenders. The State will continue to see this until leaders realize that sexual predators should never be free to butcher and brutilize our children and communities again. All of these horrendous crimes I have been hearing about have been committed by violent sexual predators. I work in the sytem and am sickened to see who comes back through the revolving door after these animals are given chance after chance by CT's so called leaders. The crimes of Cheshire and New Britain are perfect examples..not to mention the lesser known countless victims who we will never hear or know about..

I don't see what the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has to do with that.

Maybe you mean DCF, department of children and families. That is what we have in Connecticut. There is no federal equivalent. Each state has their own.

DCF is no guarantee that a child is safe neither. My 3 nieces were raped while in DCF custody by foster parents or relatives. It hurts to now see my nieces grow up with that pain. DCF tought they could do better than my sister but we clearly see they just detroyed their lives! They were removed because my sister was going thru depresion but failed to give them to family instead they placed them in foster homes .

you can bet the bank that he was being abused as well. Sometimes children will "act out" the abuse that has been perpetrated against them on younger, weaker victims. Someone they can control the way they are being controlled. But the flip side would be that children are abused on a daily basis and not all of them run out and victimize others so who knows.....

Abused or not, he raped someone else. Lets not loose track on the fact that he is NOT the victim, and that the victim is the one that deserves sympathy. Just because the accused RAPIST may (or may not) have been molested does not justify his actions. If the facts in this case are as presented and true, punishment should be swift and severe.

Oy Vey! Must you be so petty? DHS=Department of Human Services - which is in every state/city - yes I understand they are regulated by state not federal. DHS is a general term. If you want to "instruct" people then do it in a school, not here.

Yes he raped another child - but to him, he may not understand - we dont know. This 12 year old may not have the mental capacity to understand. Each child is different on their mental progress, on top of his environment. Thats where a therapist comes in and figures it out. We see it as black and white becuase we are adults and are fully developed to understand.
