Fremont PD Identifies Highway 680 Stabbing Victim

This happened on my road.
It was brutal to see the dead body just laying there for investigation.
It's scary to think this could happen at any time.

I'm just so sad about our recent 10-55(Fremont PD code for Homocide) I would like to send out my prayers to the victim's family & to the suspect you desurive to go to jail & face homicide charges!!

i feel terribly sorry for the people who died in a homocide, but in this case, i don't feel one sympathy for the death of Lam's. i might not know him personally, but from the things i heard about him, he's not the greatest person alive. it's either him or future innocents who really don't deserve it. thats why i dont understand why people are so quick to judge on who's the bad guy when you guys hardly even know these people and you guys dont even know if it was strictly murder or self defense. so in future reference, if you dont know the truth then don't open your big mouth.

i agree with the comment above. I heard a lot of negative things about lam also. he definately was not the greatest guy. i knew daniel from way back, he was a good kid that just got caugt up with the wrong crowd.

people are just offering their condolences to the victims family and you're bashing them? like you said no one even knows what happened at the time so dont be such a hypocrite and judge people by saying that Lam is a bad person. if you dont know him then its best that you keep your mouth shut too. by saying that he's a bad person when you dont even know him, you're already judging him. you tell people not to be so quick to judge, you should listen to your own words hypocrite.

well, if you say that daniel got caught in the wrong crowd, then how is he the victim of this investigation? he's still living and breathing while Lam is gone forever! at least that murderer gets to see his family. what about Lam's family? his body's not there... thehy have nothing of him, only memories. if you can switch it around and say that daniel is the victim, then it can be the same for Lam because he hung out with the wrong person!

Tell you guys the truth I know both of these guys and I bet maybe alot of you do too, but maybe you just dont want to tell everyone the fact, the reason being is that maybe you dont want to be put up on the spot. But also these 2 guys, their not the best person on Earth, we all aren't. You are correct that Yes Linh don't deserve to die in a van. But just put yourself in Dan's shoes, if somebody would've "messed up your life" tell you to do the things that maybe you never done before in your life. And you just hate this guy so much and you just wish him death, then yes you would want to kill the person and maybe killing in the van like that was not wise but hey we all make mistakes. Also, Linh is a cool dude too, but dope heads are always hilarious, but never stay real. But hey I knew him for a year, and let he let me stay in his shelter for oh well, a day. But you know he's dead now so we just wish him resting in peace. And Dan I hope he learned his lesson, and the judge wouldn't just be so quick to judge, but give him a second chance. FOr the person that asked, why did he have a knife in his Car? well I carry knives in my car too not that I'm planning to kill anyone, but maybe self-protection, or I might need to use it for my own purpose, but doesn't mean I have a knife and I'm planning to kill somebody with that knife.

with these situation, you have to be a part of it to understand what happened, and honestly, no one will ever know what went down on that highway...how do you know lam wasn't the one who attacked first...mai was driving for crying out loud, have you ever thought about trying to attack someone while you were driving?..think about it...and for lams family side, let me ask you this..do you know what he was doing on the street? if you did, then you cannot blame anyone for his death, if it wasn't mai, someone else would've eventually taken him out. oh and if you didn't know, lam is over 30 years old and hanging out with someone so much younger, i could only imagine what kind of **** he was putting into mai's head,#13, you know what im talking about, dope heads have a way to mess with each other.

I know both of these people and linh was my best friend. They both had a part to play in the circumstances but nobody to daniel to do drugs he chose that he chose the way his life was. Linh never pressured anyone into doing anything they didnt want to do I know all the circumstances behind this situation and as **** up as the outcome was Daniel needs to be sober to understand all the effects the drugs had on him and maybe he wont do it again. the drugs and the drinking thinking he is top notch. Linh had a daughter who didnt deserve that
