Suburban Psychologist Arrested On Sex Charges

hmmmmmm i need more information before i can decide if he is guilty. these kids today are so sheltered and bubbled by their overprotective parents, half them would cry molestation if a stranger touched them on the shoulder. i need more facts. he if does do role playing as part of his therapy, which alot do with children, i wouldn't be suprised if the children went home and said mommy we did therapy and i closed my eyes and dr. x put his hand on my shoulder and we talked........and then the parents flip the f out. so, give more information please NBC 10 :) thanks

How do we obtain this information in order to check out other caregivers? I really am outraged about this. They should publish a list of anyone in a professional position who has been disciplined for this type of offense. We need to protect our children and those who cannot protect themselves. Can you imagine taking an abused child to a therapist for help and they are molested AGAIN? God help them.

Go to www.dos.state.pa.us/bpoa which is the Occupational Affairs website. The tab "License Verification" will allow you to enter a name and profession to see if the person's license is in good standing. If there has been disciplinary action, it will say so and you can fax a request for a full report. There is also a section called Disciplinary Actions which summarizes the Board decisions against any violators. This, unfortunately, has not been updated since January. I imaginne Lazaroff will show up here soon.

Several years ago I took my son to a Psychiatrist named Marilyn ...... He was having some issues at school I thought it would be helpful if he spoke with someone. This witch put all kinds of ideas in his head and really caused huge difficulties. He told me after a few visits that she told him he was very sick and needed help or he would end of committing suicide later in life because of his unresolved issues. In retrospect I should have filed a complaint against her. Therapists only make money if they keep you coming back. This witch is still in practice.

SVU "Law and Order" had a show a few years back on the same thing. In fact there were a few shows on this subject. This roll playing sounds sick! These quacks put ideas in kids heads and then DHS are investigating you!

The criminal complaint for this is public record and you will see that the kids have the same stories, these kids don't know each other, don't go to school with each other and have very different backgrounds. More charges will be following this one I am sure of it.

I took my son to Dr. Jerry two years back and never had any reason to suspect him of doing such a thing. The only time that my son was alone with him was at my request when I thought he would open up more if I wasn't in the room. We never did role playing but he always played some sort of game before we left. There was one time when he did raise his voice at my son and told him to sit down and mind his mother(yelled actually) but I thought he should have been more patient seeing the signs of ADHD. But other than the one time, I was pleased with his service.

Again what happened to Innocent until proven guilty. He has been in practice for over 20 years and just now he is getting complaints from a mother who is down on he luck and needs money.. hmmmmm

Maybe they have the same stories because the one parent read the paper and was like hmmm a free meal ticket..let me saw he did the same thing to my kid

So Dr. Lazaroff has been vindicated of these horrendous charges. For all of you who made the assumption of guilt, LAY OFF! Allow him to get back to his professional career.

I think parents watch too many legal shows and assume they can get a huge sum of money by making up charges. This man's life and livelyhood was on the line, not to mention his reputation. Luckily the law found the truth and he was acquited of everything. He still has to put his life back together. We live in a world where we feel we are entitled to our piece of the pie...but not at the expense of another human being. Shame on those parents. What kind of message and example are they setting for their children?

Does anyone know what lawfirm represented the women who filed charges against Jerry Lazaroff?

Innocent until guilty? Not in the USA in 2009...
