Ring near for Randy?

Full story: Lowell Sun

Now that Alex Rodriguez is finally being fitted for a ring, which ridiculously gifted athlete inherits A-Rod's aggravation? Which athlete is among the best-ever at his game but is getting along in years without having won The Big One? Certainly, Randy Moss' name pops into cranky football minds assessing the active ringless greats.

They barely beat the Dolphins. Why would you think the Pats are going to win the superbowl.

LOL, yeah barely squeaked by... only 10 points ... Now go STFU... if we beat someone by 30 points we're piling on and if only by 10 it's "barely". Just dry your tears on mommies apron and let her use the other side to let Joey Porter blow his whiny runny nose. You both do your daddy.

Its not going to happen this year. I think it'll be proven next week in Indy that the team is not strong enough this year.

Let's wait and see how the Pats do against Indy and N.O. before anyone starts talking about Super Bowl rings. The Pats haven't met any of the Big Dogs yet, and results against the weaker teams don't tell much about a team's quality. Not saying they will, not saying they won't, just saying we haven't seen them play a quality team yet.

LMAO... R U trying to make some comparison that the squealers are even close to the Giants defense? Laughable!!! Truth, the G-men plated a hell of a defensive game! No way Eli deserved the MVP, should have went to either Strahan, Osi or Tuck. Truth, if the G-mens D hadn't played so well and it became an offensive shoot out... Well Eli isn't Brady by a long shot. Now to borrow a line from a great poster I just read... Shiatsburgh has Worthlessburger who does hotel staff and New England has Brady who does supermodels... it's all just a level of self respect and what your willing to accept... See, Shiatsburgh is willing to take the dark corner table by the crapper while New England is welcomed to the center table.

Well they seemed to handle Miami and their varied versions of the wildcat (definitely a problem in our first match up last year). Lets remember that they played real good games against the Ravens and especially the Falcons. So for next half I see our toughest challenges are the Colts, Saints and Texans (laugh as you might on the Texans)Miami will always be one of our toughest divisional battles but I think we have their number. I still stand by my preseason guess of 13-3.

Miami has a losing record, the Ravens are even at 4-4. The only team with a winning record they've beaten so far are the Falcons. The strongest team they played, and the only real test for a real contender was the Broncos. That wasn't a blowout, but fact is, it is bad luck to be behind when the game ends. The Broncos are the only playoff caliber team the Pats have played so far. One game doesn't tell us much. One team could be having a great day, the other a lousy day. When the next two games against the Colts and Saints are over, we will have 3 games against playoff-caliber teams to judge whether the Pats are good enough to run with the big dogs or not.

Well here you are Worthlessburger... paying to much attention to defending shiatsburgh and that why you're throwing interceptions and meeting the turf... What a crap team... As stated above... the only reason you all even went to the S.B. is because you didn't have to play the Patriots in the playoffs... Because the world knows how you nannys **** all over yourselves when having to meet up with New England

Yeah but their record as of today (Ravens & Falcons) is not what I judged the Patriots performance on. When we played both of those teams they WERE unbeaten at 3-0. What they've done since our game doesn't come into play as far as how tough they were when we met up.

Yeah it was a nice time for the Squealers... Knowing that you didn't have to face the Patriots let you all go home with out pissing yourselves... 1st time in a long time that you made it through the season with dry pants... or in your case (panties).

Proof is in the pudding. The Pats have played 2 legitimate Super Bowl contenders, Denver and Indy. They lost both games. You can say what you want about the bad decision to go for it on fourth down, but the fact is for the entire 4th quarter, the Pats defense was not getting the job done. They went into the 4th with a 17 point lead and gave up 3 TDs. It makes little difference that Brady's getting back to his old self, if the defense can't stop a quality offense. This year, the suspect defense makes the Pats a second tier team. They will beat the weaklings, and give the contenders some problems, but they don't have what it takes to run with the big dogs. They will make the playoffs, but will be playing golf after the first or second round.

It isn't all bad news. Most teams that are re-building are a lot worse, and in the off season, trades or draft picks for good linebackers and secondary players could help turn the defense around. Let's hope Randy has a couple more good years in him, and maybe we can see about that ring.
