Its all about class... Some people have it and some people don't. I've given up on going to a movie past 7:00pm on the weekends. To many "classless" people who think the world revolves around them. I had season tickets to the Celtics last year and was lucky enough to have second row tickets on the balcony. Wouldn't you know, the guy right in front of me (in the front row) still found it neccessary to stand up at every made basket. What's he standing for? He's got no one in front of him!! The view is the same standing as it is sitting!!

Well. I'd just like to say that if you had turned around to correct my friend for giving me bad info at a Sox game, I would have told you to shut your mouth, mind your business and watch the game. And if you dared ssshhh me for singing along at a concert, for which I paid my hard earned money to go and do just that, you would have heard me singing much louder than originally intended and giving you dirty looks all night to boot.
As an avid concert goer and spectator of all types of other events, I've found that an uptight attitude such as yours can ruin a good time for everybody. People like me think people like you need to relax. Just a little. People go to concerts to have fun, to hear their favorite songs live and yes, even sing along. If you wanted a private show, you should have stayed home and cranked up the stereo and sipped your wine quietly. Yes, some people at events get rowdy, but it's the job of security and event staff to dertimine whether or not it's gone past a certain point, not your job, otherwise you'd be getting paid.
I recently attended a concert at the Comcast Center and the place was packed. The entire crowd was on their feet, singing along. There were drunken college kids stumbling about. People chanting. And the combination of everything made it a really fun time. When I pay to see a show, I want to see the crowd go wild. I want to see people having fun, that's what I love about the whole vibe, we're all here to see good music and have a good time. Loosen up.

Could the problem be with the class of entertainment you have chosen ?

sounds to me like you are a cry baby, People go to concers to enjoy themselves, and be aoart of the atmosphere if they want to sing let him sing, If people are at a ball game and you are mad because they are talking stay home and enjoy the silence to yourself, As far as the drunk kid, you got a point there, but other then that you sound like a cry baby stick in the **** , that shouldn't be out in public because the thought of other people talking bothers you..again Dan Shaugnessy shows his **** baggery

I think you're expected to get loud at a rock concert.......

But at an acoustic concert? Drowning out the performer is just rude.

I've been to a lot of concerts and I'm used to them being real noisy, rowdy, etc. I went to one at the Auditorium and everyone sat in their seats and it was the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

The performer was great, but I prefer the loud, rocking ones!

If some moron was singing along at any show, I'd be pissed too. Who wants to listen to that? I paid to hear and see someone perform, not some idol wannabee!

Hey Dennis! Shut your fat mouth! I can 100% agree that you don't want someone talking during a movie. But I don't want to hear that you can't sing along or yell during baseball games. The is the whole point of going. If you don't want to be bothered maybe you should pony up and pay for front row seats. Then you don't have to hear anybody. Being a spectator is being a participant. Your supposed to talk at sporting events. Idf you thougth that lady was so wrong why didn't you speak up. Inseatd you want to write a little article about how upset you are by it. Your a little baby. Some call the wambulance for Dennis. WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. And if I was next to you at a concert or any sporting event and you told me to shut up, I'd probably fight you.

Concerts are for people to enjoy, not for old farts like you to go to and try to moniter people's behavior. Sometimes when people get excited they stand up, they are supporting their team, something I guess you think shouldnt happen. What a fun time places would be if you had control, every where would be like a library. LAME A$$.

1.Who the hell is John Prine? I never heard of the guy.

2.When you go to a sporting event you're supposed to be loud. There is a reason some teams have huge home field advantage.

Coming from an avid Bruins fan who attends alot of games. When I go to watch The B's play i like to get loud, i like to cheer, clap, and support my team. However I know the line between that and bieng a jackass. I cannot stand it when i get these looks or what not from stuck up people who feel its wrong of me to be doing this. Its a goddamn hockey game what do you you expect a tea party like enviroment? Be loud and be proud!

Preach on Joe! This is the lamest article I have ever read. You are loser. Don't ever leave your house Dan. Why is it a crime to yell and cheer on your team or heckle and harrass the opposing team. Why is it a crime to sing along to your favorite songs. You know what IT ISN'T. I think your a dou$hebag.

Sue, don't tell us how to act when when pay our OWN hard earned money to attend and event. If you don't want to be around people that yell and sing along then maybe you and Dan should sit home and watch the ball games and listen to your records together.
