Dig it up...let it see the light of day..let her stand naked in the glare of the light of truth, and Disclouser..as surly as this is done to every nomnie...Justice Thomas, and Justice Bork come to mind..a liberal atrocity in that Process.......with Sen.Kennedy ,leading the pack of liberal loons......what ever you may thought of those men,the methods to assassinate them by liberals,is a dark moment in history...only exceeded by FDR, in his power play to pack the court for his control!!

If sotomayor passes...OK..but to be fed a snow job, by those hypocrites?
Its not unknown to liberals!!

What has McConnell been doing since the nomination? He was told weeks ago when the nominee would be voted on. He knows where she has been a judge, and every place she has worked.

Senator McConnell is very fortunate today. Next Saturday is a holiday, so there will be one less work day. He has plenty of time to go fishing through the documents and get up to speed for the hearings.

The Senator and his underlings have x number of days to get their act together and finish their homework. If his big project is due in two weeks, wasting his time on Sunday morning TV shows shows Mitch has poor time management skills.

And as any party boy undergrad could tell him, that will bite him in the behind sooner or later. Senator McConnell, the hearings start July 13th. Get off your rear end, get your people together and get to work. There will be no extension. Two weeks.

Get a move on Senator. The clock is running. Tick! Tock!

These records will have been thoroughly reviewed by the end of the week, even on a short week, but the GOP needs time to come up with spin and smoke and brimstone.

I think Sotomayor has racist tendencies.

She threw out the tests taken by these men because black firemen scored much lower. I don't think she should be confirmed.

The city threw out the tests, she agreed that they had the power to do so. A little different than saying she threw out the tests.

They've had a lot of time to find the info they needed. It's 2009 for goodness sake. Any opinion or record is on computer somewhere. I doubt that there are interns and staffers rumaging through boxes in the back of a courthouse somewhere. It had been weeks...do your homework and get your job done.

Obama was the one campaigning on openness and transparency ... and then everything he does is pushed though quickly without a chance to review or even read what they are voting on.
Everything about Obama is covert and deceitful.
Time to slow down and look before we leap into any more disasters.

The outcome was the same. The city threw out the tests and she gave them her blessing.

This is one reason I'm against 'special' laws for people that claim they want to be equal. The fact is they want to be treated better than mainstream, they want an advantage.

WASHINGTON—Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday the committee preparing for hearings for Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor needs time to review 300 boxes of records that recently turned up in connection with her work for a legal advocacy group.

Recently turned up? Where were they gound? Who was hiding them? Yes, I know its a foregone conclusion that she will be nominated, but lets take the time to put everything on the table. Since it's a lifetime position with no chance of her getting removed, let's find out exactly what we are getting.

I agree.
I also agree with wondering.

Cos "Republicans" are just little, shrill, ignorable sh*ts, just steamroller them, even if they are hard to clean off afterwards.

[yawn] Never a shortage of these empty, stupid, dishonest bigots in 'mer'ka, unfortunately.

Poor republicans - the Party of Delay, Delay and if that fails, Delay Again.

Come on, GOP, empty the boxes, read the records and get on with it. That is your job.

"shrill", "igrnoable sh ts", "empty, stupid, dishonest bigots"

When you can't cough up information, you resort to name calling.

This is how democrats argue...by name calling instead of offering up facts. Little brains, little people.

Justice Thomas, you mean the same Justice Thomas who just wrote the minority opinion that claimed that schools did have a right to strip search children. He was just hoping that someone took pictures of the girl and they would send them to him.

And right-wingers argue by claiming with mock outrage that liberals only argue by calling names.
