Chelmsford police lose a dogged partner

He sure wasn't the bad guys' best friend. Just ask the convicted drug dealer who used to drive a Ford Explorer with what he thought to be a cop-proof, super-sophisticated, electronic hiding place for his stash.

May God Bless Andy. Animals are just as precious as humans and it saddens me to see things like this happen. May God also Bless Officer Leo and his family in this tragic time. Animals are very much a part of any family.

I'd be willing to donate money for you guys to get a new dog.

Put up a site for donation and I'm sure you will get your money in no time.

Ofc.leo and K9 Andy responded to numerous cities and towns to help locate missing kids, find drugs and chase down b&e suspects. I also want to know were to send a donation for the Chelmsford Police K9 fund. When my buisness got broken into K9 Andy tracked down the bad guy.

This is a story of how some public servants care about giving of their time and love to a community.

The passing of this trained dog is a loss for the officer, Chelmsford and all people that give a little extra to help the citizens of the town.

My deep sorrow for the police officer and all those that care about giving a little more than just collecting a paycheck.

Hopfully the Chelmsford Firefighters will take note, people do care about those that give extra to their profession.

I am sorry for the loss. Animals are people too. Look at all Andy did for the community, not to mention he became part of Officer Leos family. I agree with getting people to donate for another dog. He/She won't be Andy, but it will help all involved and cut down the crime. *Bless Andy*

If you know Dave, you would know Andy. They are both work horses and give nothing but 100% to everything they do. As a team they were a credit to the Chelmsford Police Dept.
To Dave, I am sorry to hear about Andy. He was not only your partner, but a friend and family member.

Not in this day in age I guess but I would so contribute to any animal helping us.

that must be the vet they are talking about. I've taken my pets there in an emergency and they are very good. Expensive, but you are paying for the 24/7 avail. Very good vets there. too bad they couldnt help this dog tho.
