Moon rocks come to earth all the time in meteorites that ricochet off the moon or other rocks that have left the moon a long long time ago.

The article states only 2 possibilities, but there are THREE.
The moon rock could be real, AND not stolen, AND not fake.

The earth is made of the same thing as the moon and was born at the same time. Both have been hit with large astroids and material has passed back and forth.

HELLO NASA: Some meteorites come from other galaxies too.

Each time an asteroid or meteorite passes by another Sun, it can melt on the outside.
This re-melting, over and over can determine how many hot-spots or Suns it has passed.
Like.... rings on a tree to determine age.

Yes, Hellen, Rocks CAN fall from the sky.

(This was not covered in your grade school science classes until recently.)
WTF is that

1. Moon’s Age: The moon is far older than previously expected. Maybe even older than the Earth or the Sun. The oldest age for the Earth is estimated to be 4.6 billion years old; moon rocks were dated at 5.3 billion years old, and the dust upon which they were resting was at least another billion years older.

A meteorite is a natural object originating in outer space that falls and survives impact with the surface. Meteorites can be found on Earth, but also other planets and celestial bodies including Mars and the moon. Most meteorites come from meteoroids, but many can also come from the impact of asteroids.

>Gutheinz said the woman could face theft charges if the rock is genuine, or fraud charges if it is not.

Now, as defense counsel, that strikes me as sheer lunarcy.
