Paris Hilton Released From Jail

Reportedly it was due to a "medical condition". There are many incarcerated people with medical conditions and I certainly wouldn't want to see them placed under home detention because of it - people like Charles Manson. I am not comparing Ms. Hilton to Manson. My guess is her addictions to drug & alcohol are what caused a withdrawal emergency & subsequent early release from jail.

The wealthy should have more rights since they own the politicians. If all of the wealthy criminals are in jail who will pay the bribes. Not only does the bribes make the politicians wealthy, it makes the wealthy even more wealthy. That kind of entrepreneurism should be treated special. Without them who will take your money.

I don't think they should have let her go.She is never going to learn a lesson if every time she gets in trouble her folks get her out. She should have been made to stay in jail and maybe she would have time to think about what she did.

Ms. Hilton just proves, once again, that the justice system works best for those who can afford it. We all know that if you or I were sentenced in that cell and we went berserk, hystical, or emotionally distraught, that we would have been placed in isolation too - IN A PADDED CELL! Not in the comfort of our own home. Some sentence - 40 days in your mansion!

This is a BS!!! Everyone knows her "medical condition" is her throwing a tantrum and crying for mommy and daddy. The guards probably got fedup with the brat and kicked her A%@ out!

I think that brod should've got the SAME punishment as everyone else...it's not fair that just because she is a HILTON, she gets a special cell and even get to go home for what.... a chipped toe nail???? what a joke!!!

If she was ill then they should of but her in the hospital unit at the jail. Not send her home to be in a world of luxury. She committed a crime and she needed to pay for it. If any other prisoner would have done the sick stunt they would not have had the luxury to go home. This really shows what money can buy you when you are rich. This is a terrible example for our children.

Just goes to show what a person can get away with if they're wealthy.......everything from murder to driving under the influence. Let's hear it for our justice system!

What a joke! Paris Hilton is NOT above the law, yet I guess if you have enough money to throw around, you CAN buy the system. I am not sure what her alleged "illness" was...but I feel for the rest of society if they are afflicted with a similar "alleged" ailment...they won't be let out jail. No for those unfortunate souls, they will do their time without the benefit of a high profile lawyer to get them released. My guess is claustriphobia affects all kinds!!

Oh Poor Paris. What does this say about the DUI laws in California and just how easy it is to get off when you have fame and/or fortune. There are laws in this state and there are sentences that are handed down when those laws are broken. I believe the sentence for the first offense of DUI is the huge fine, 45 days in jail, driving school and license suspension. What did Paris get? Suspended license and still drove in violation. So then she gets less than half of the time sentence in a private cell and the poor baby gets a "rash". What a slap in the face of those who have suffered at the hands of a drunk driver. I'll just bet she's laughing all the way to the bank - all the way home with her fashion ankle bracelet. What a joke! Perhaps this will set a precedence and now other drunk drivers will get off with the fashion statement and time off at home. We are already looking at that with the former public servant who just killed 4 people while driving under the influence and is still on the street.

WHAT IN THE WORLD? What is justice system doing? They just release that little hoe, just because she had a rash? Since when is there a law/rule that says when people get rash while in jail, they get to go home with some home arrest. Paris Hilton deserves to serve in jail 45 days as the judge ordered...what now the judge changed his/her mind? I am so disapointed in justice system! What's next she is going to kill someone while Driving Drunk and they will only pet her on the back? I am pretty sure there a lot of angry people right now for what justice system is doing!

I feel that Paris being put on house arrest is unfair to others that break the law.She should be put in a halfway house to finish out her time that she was given by the courts.Not her own home where she has everything she needs.I feel that by doing this she will not have learned the lesson of drinking and driving so many are injured or killed by this.

If you are rich(PARIS HILTON) or a(SENATOR)DRIVING A CAR,Braking the law you get caught you getaway with it.You and I WOULD GO TO JAIL for the same offense.Their are two laws one for the rich and our politlcians and one for us the middle-class and the poor.

Figures. Our legal system at its finest. The message is clear. You have enough money and celebrity status, you can do whatever you want. Drink and drive, no problem. Murder, no problem. What an F'ed up stupid legal system if it doesn't apply to everyone. How much you wanna bet Lindsay Lohan gets off also? If I were serving a jail sentence currently for my first DUI, I would immediately start crying depression and get appeal. I know this is cruel to say also, but frankly, I hope Paris gets liquored up, jumps in her ride, and goes out and either injures or kills herself or someone else just so the legal authorities that made this happen get a swift kick in the arse.

Just goes to show what I have been saying for years - the Courts are destroying this country. There is no justice.
Let this be a lesson to all you liberals out there. This is why the conservatives hate the judiciary.
There is no excuse for this.
Whoever is responsible should be forced to resign. But it won't happen.
