This is Bull chased these dogs in his pickup truck approx 100 yards got out shot each dog and reloaded and shot them again.Each dog was shot at least 3 times. Some so close that the wad from shotgun shell was stuck in the dogs face. Dog Masacre at Liberty Lake

I cant believe someone has the heart to shoot 5 dogs an also cant believe that there are no charges filed against the man that is animal cruelty anyway you look at...hunting dogs chase dead animals not live animals or people for that matter and after reading the comment from renscout if that is true that man who shot the dogs should be punished to the full exstinct of the law.. no animals deserves to be shot like that. if that man thinks he can do it an get away with it **** shoot his cattle the same way an see how he feels. dogs are just like peoples kids they are part of a family cattle you are going to kill them an eat them not have as a freind or love it like a child.. punish that man who shot those dogs.

A law is a law...but they are ment to be broken i dont agree with the shooting of the dogs there could have been a diffrent way to handle the hole situation...fire a shot in the air if he thought that the dogs were attacking his cattle...the hole thing just sounds a little fishy to me, the two on property ok whatever but the ones off his property i say charge him....that wasnt fair.

Did we mention the man had been drinking and they found a QT beer bottle right by the shooting. Guthrie police did nothing.Can we say FELONY.

1 This animal should be strung up by his balls and have them shot off. Then dog owners in the area can stand around and laugh at him as I understand he does when he kills these dogs. These are not attack dogs, they are hunting dogs. DUH!! And unless provoked would have to reason to attack cattle or humans.! Of course this perpetrator is NOT human. He is a 2 legged animal, out of control. HE needs to be in a cage. That the police have failed to act on this indicates something is not quite kosher in Guthrie. In fact, maybe the Attorney General of the state should look into what goes on the that police department. |

just to let you know thats not what happened the police where called before the dogs were shot thank you very much i happen to know this guy and when he road up as the **** shot his last dog he told him that the cops were on the way now how could he have called them after????? and upon the cop arriving he said hey rodney i got here as soon as i could so you get the facts straight!!!!!

I am American Soldier in Iraq and saw this article and it make me cringe that someone would do this. We don't even shoot dogs over here. The other thing is the police are just as coorupt as the person doing the shooting for not arresting him on the spot, they must be good old friends I assume for them to over look the LAW.

How could someone be so cruel to shoot these five dogs-each dog multiple times. Hunting dogs are highly trained not to chase cattle and deer. For this crime to have occurred on public land and nothing has been done to the perpetrator of this crime in beyond belief. What is wrong with our justice system, is Guthrie, Ok exempt from the laws the rest of us have to abide by. This sounds like the good ole boy syndrome Oklahoma is most known for. Animal rights activists will be all over this so it is my hope that jusice will be served and that the perpetrator is held accountable for this crime-if he gets away with it what's to stop others from doing the same thing he did what kind of message are we sending to the citizens of Oklahoma. This was a cruel, haneous, and brutal crime and should not go un-punished. Laws were made for everyone, but I guess who you know makes you exempt from the law.

Not only should Mr. Luckinbill face criminal felony charges but the Guthrie police dept. needs to be looked at too, makes you wonder how many more police departments are as corrupt as the Guthrie police dept. This policeman that came to the scene knew this man that slaughtered these dogs, and did'nt even take his gun. This man walked up to these dogs and shot them point blank in the face, so if only 2 dogs were supposedely chasing his cattle why did he shot the other dogs? He says he was in fear of his life from the other dogs but when he shot the first round all the other dogs automatically think that the hunter has game so they will come running. This is not the first time for this man to have done this to hunting dogs, he shot one dogs front legs off and just left it laying there for the owners to find, this dog had a **** in the tree, was'nt even on his property just walked up and shot it and left, what was his excuse for that one? This man needs to be punished severly. Whole thing sounds corrupt and paid off to me.

USE PEPPER SPRAY OR BEAR PEPPER SPRAY! It will stop the dog and it wont want to come near you again yet it is temporary and causes no damage to the dog or its eyes. A recent study proved that pepper spray works just as good as a gun on attacking animals. I cant see how anyone could justify that theese dogs were a threat.

I'm sorry, but all of you don't have a clue what really happened, none of you were there. As for Mr. Luckinbill and the incident, I would ahve done the same. I have a large herd of animals and they have been chased by a pack of dogs, and yes I shot them all. I all so worked for a vet and you don't know what a dog is capable of any situation. I don't believe that the police in Guthrie are honest, but I don't believe that this is considered favoritism. You stop and consider the fact that there were children at the lake where the dogs were let lose to run and do as they please, I have problem with the dogs being free to do as they please, any where, much less on city property.

The shooting of these dogs, was a bad situation, i do believe that if the man felt in any kind of danger he had a right to shoot them. He was doing what any farmer would have done.
