Parents were probably passed out drunk or making meth (or both).

I couldn't agree more, Kim! If the punishment would fit the crime, maybe the crime would go down. If you rob an establishment, you go to prison, period. I don't care how old you are! "Juvenile justice" is an oxymoron!

A 12 gauge to both the teens faces would of been proper punishment. Now these punks will be back on the street in a few weeks and be back in the crime spotlight soon. Just get rid of this garbage when they first start committing crimes. They don't deserve to live in society after robbing someone at gunpoint.

Maybe the teens decided that it would be easy to rob gay people and that's why they went there. I recognized the name because I have seen it in gay publications.

I haven't been into a gay-owned establishment that serves alcoholic beverages for several years now.

I can tell ya where some parents are... at home... probably asleep and they might not know little johnny slipped out... or they are like some parents I know... Letting the kids make their own decisions... and letting them go whereever they want to keep them happy

I agree, until they start actually punishing these people this will continue. Prison hasn't been real punishment in ages. Weight rooms, cable tv, etc.? They should have whatever stations they can pick up with an antenna, no more. The prisoners should be doing hard manual labor of some kind as soon as they are finished with breakfast. Give them a lunch break, work until dinner, 1 or 2 hours of tv, then bed. If they were actually made to do manual labor they wouldn't need the weight rooms, and wouldn't have the energy left to be causing trouble. If prison was about punishment it might actually deter crime because the lazy jerks wouldn't want to be going back.

As for the parents, from what I have seen these days, many of them are too self absorbed and worry only about themselves and what they want. The fact that parenting is a full time responsibility has escaped them. They are too busy with their own lives to worry about raising their kids, where they are, or what they are doing. When their kids get in trouble they have the nerve to act shocked that their little darlings shot, robbed, molested or beat up someone. Start making parents accountable and return to actually punishing the scum and things might change, until then it's going to be more of the same.
