I'd be curious to know what drugs he was selling before I can issue a ruling on this matter.

the feds give out way to much time for the crime. maybe he deserved it, maybe he didn't. A lot of things are illegal, but that does not mean he should get over 20 years for it. The feds have NO PAROLE, so he will do about 18 years on a 21 year sentence. that sucks

It matters because if he was selling pot, that's a little bit different than selling exstacy, meth, heroin, etc. etc. etc.

Lumping all drugs into one is actually a lot like lumping all sex offenders into one, but I've seen enough vigialanteism on here to feel safe assuming you wont be able to distinguish a difference.

Might wanna do a little research on this.... 21 years in fed time means 21 years, they don't have the so called "good time" like the state prisons do..... I don't know about the no parole, but maybe so on a drug conviction.

Only reason I know on the 21 years means 21 years is I once knew a guy that got himself in some trouble with the postal service and had to do some federal time. he got 5 years, and he served exactly that.

Lumping all into one, I fully agree!

I even agree with what you are saying. However.(grin, you knew I was gonna say that) if the law clearly states this drug, or smoke carries this amount of time, then thats just how it is.

I feel sure not all drugs are in the same hat on the price ya pay. I also think that on pot, the amount you have has different pentalies.

Very simple to avoid all this though.. if illegal, just don't do it period.

Yes, I have been in a jail house a couple times. Drag racing on the I75 and many years ago, a DUI, so I am not a mister dudly doright.

Our friendly boneheads in OKC! I think what cost this man a stiffer sentence is, is because he was a network. He had quite a few people working under him selling.

I do agree with ya though... get less time for manslaughter

as attested to by the story on another forum where one guy died of a heroin overdose and another is in critical condition, often times dealing drugs = manslaghter

You're correct! About the same as a bartender serving a drunk.

I don't think you could afford expensive payroll and vacations JUST by selling pot! You have to think of all the lives he probably distroyed by selling drugs, wheather it be pot or the herion, etc.

You do realize those ludacrious commercials on what Pot did to them are way out in left field. No one I ever knew blew up their car because they smoked a doobey. I knew more kids that did it sober as a nun.
