Water Park Fails Safety Inspection

If you daughter manages the park for you, then you are both worthless. You've known for some time of the damage that was there, and failed, yes you FAILED to correct it. I don't think Sally has a snow ball chance in **** of winning, but I do think Karen Keith will look real nice in Randi Millers chair.

Oh, BTW, did you all get the email I sent you telling you to get Randi a desk all cleard off, cause I have a feeling after elections, she'll be working for your husband.

Saying anyone is "worthless" when you obviously don't have all the facts or have never walked a mile in their shoes is a little harsh and does nothing to address the issues that would help Tulsa become a better city. Personal attacks very seldom accomplish anything positive. Tulsa needs family entertainment and Big Splash provides that. I'm sure they'll address the safety issues unless there are policiticans behind all of this who would like to see that area being used for something else.

I will never take my kids to your park , because of the safety issues every yr there is someone getting hurt or killed in your park, it looks run down all the time and is way over priced for what it is. I much rather spend that money and drive to tx and goto hurricane harbor and its on fairgrounds property. Say what you want Bells got ran out of there cause the Murphy's didnt want to share any of the money going out during the fair. Greed nothing but greed. None of my money will goto anybody on the fairgrounds.

The way I see it, they are crooks. To me, crooks are worthless scum. Just I feel that the Murphys are RICH and worthless. They don't care one ounce about you, only your money. They could care less if their water park is a danger to the public as long as you pump money to them. After all, they fully admit they knew about the rotten wood and opened it without fixing it. Please show me how they care after this little stunt. How many others have been covered up that we never heard about?

Also, you are correct UpStream... Tulsa DOES in deed need entertainment. But, I personally prefer something a little more tame than some kid falling off the tower due to rotten wood. I went to that park ONCE.... Never again. I find no entertainment at their prices. Personally, I'd rather take a under kid fishing. Thats a story they can carry for life and be happy about, not some story how they fell off water slide rotten wood stairs because owners was too greedy to fix em. I honestly don't know how Murphys sleep at night.

Well, unless you are going to tell me that the safety inspectors are lying now, you were told LAST year before THIS season started that you had structure damage and beams that needed more support and CHOSE not to have it fixed in time for THIS season is this not true? If not then you need to let people know why because it is all over that you and your family have known for at least 8 months and have chose to do nothing about it, that is one reason half of the things have been closed down and is unfair to charge these horrific prices. All I know is I wont come to Big Splash because I do not believe it is safe but if I did and allowed my children to go and they got hurt or killed and found out that YOU in any way knew of the risk, you would be handing EVERYTHING you ever owned or even thought of owning over to me and I would make sure you spent the rest of your life in prison. At least from my stand point until you can prove otherwise, it sounds like the old almighty dollar wins again at the risk of the public...prove me wrong please!!!

Big Splash used to be such a fun place to go and could be again. The slides need to be repaired and the different equipment at the side pools need to be replaced like the zip wire for one and cut the grass and bushes the place just looks run down. Put some pride back in Tulsa starting with Big Splash.

The day we went to Big Splash as guests of a corporate group, there was lightning and thunder and black wall clouds on the horizon. At the gate, we asked if we could come back on the "rain date" that our sponsor had arranged for. Big Splash managers said, "No, the park is still open. You can't come back on the rain date unless we close the park." As soon as we entered and gave them our tickets, they closed all the pools for lighting -- but the park was still "open", taking tickets and money! Most of the time we were there the pools were closed. So we basically wasted our tickets.

We also had pre-paid meal tickets, but when we went to order our food, they had run out of half the stuff on the menu. Then many of the better items on the menu they said we "couldn't order" with our pre-paid meal tickets. So they sell you a pre-paid meal ticket, then won't let you order what you want from their menus.

Meanwhile, the "security" at the gate arent' looking for weapons, they are looking for snacks and even bottles of water that they will confiscate from you so they can force you to be gouged by their overpriced food and drink items.

Big Splash is a big rip-off.

Somebody needs to step in and shut this park down. Remember last year a child was dx with MRSA and reports stated it came from Big Splash. Has anyone been there lately? It is disgusting. Not a clean place to take your kids and quite honsetly it is embarrasing for the city of Tulsa to call this place a Water Park..

I am thinking that our Good Mayor Kathy Taylor needs to spend some time not on a new drillers stadium but some kind of amusement park that will bring in people from out of town... and give our young people a safe place to go for an afternoon or day.. and that families might do something together... The driller stadium is for only a select few..

We should like boycott Big Splash...No one go there for a couple of weeks and see if they straighten their little act up and get crap fixed over there.

I feel for the season ticket holders. Wonder if they are happy?

I have known them for MANY years so on several factors I know the truth, all I can say is if you dont like it then dont read or **** out.
