9 Shame on the Legislature. You are stealing from your own people. I always respected Donna Kim. So do your magic and don't cop-out us. Hang in there. |

2 If there is no money in the economic engine, would good would taking money out (taxes) of that engine do? This is akin to removing motor oil from the engine. CUT, CUT, CUT, not impose an even higher tax burden on the People barely able to survive. It is a recipe for higher crime rates in the end. Dissolve the Unions behind this stupid idea and remove that mandatory provision from our State constitution. Evidence of Hawaii Democrat socialism is found in the State Constitution requiring mandatory collective bargaining, which is absent in our federal US Constitution. Get rid of that and you get rid of higher taxes. It's called trickle down rip-offnomics, where the Unions take and pee on the rest of us, except we can't see it until the legislators think about ripping us off this way. What the Unions take, takes from other services----hence the need to consider hiking YOUR taxes. |

1 I may agree to a tax on sodas, candy, junk food, etc as that would raise some money but also be healthier if we all avoided junk food. Also booze and ciggie tax OK. But GET - no. |

2 So all you losers just need to get another job to pay more in GE taxes to support our lifestyle. That's just the way it is. You voted our guys in with 90% of the winners part of the one Plantation Democrat Party so you must have wanted it. So work a little harder, quit complaining and maintain our rightful lifestyle. Aloha and Arigato. |
