I don't understand the math to this assertion: "conservatives were more charitable individually. Liberals were more charitable as a whole group".
My guess is that the only way it works is if liberals also count the money from others that they give away.
I'm back in Anchorage, it's 8* and I'm cranky.
Conservatives gave more individually.

For example, for all conservatives, those that donated gave 10% of their income as opposed to 9% for others. On the other hand, 40% of conservatives actually donated as opposed to 70% of non-conservatives.

I assume you missed your shot.

I do! I know for a fact as a result of my pursuit for "the american dream" that I have carried a lot of people on my back through the taxes i have paid as a result of being "rich" according to the Obama standard.
Since I am feeling charitable, I'll tell you where I am headed before we start down the road.
I'm very worried about the future of the United States. I'm worried morals and values have changed so much. Instant gratification, greed, conflicting thoughts and unreasonable expectations seem the norm. What has happened to a work ethic and personal responsibility? I am guilty too, but so many blame, blame, blame.
So, to the "American Dream". Don't you think it would be good for people to have reasonable expectations? If the dream is to have the biggest house possible and have people wait on you, it is not attainable by a large % of the population. Who will mow the lawn (or in your case, shovel the snow), sweep and vacuum the 5000 sq/ft house, prepare and serve your meals at the restaurants? Will it be 'Americans'(I think they will be unless we bring back the slave trade)? The majority of those service industry Americans will never see that dream- it is impossible.
Instead of valuing money and material possessions, I think we should value family, honesty, hard work and PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.
And another thing, the welfare system is not working. I'm not sure we are doing anyone a favor by 'carrying them on our back'.

A couple of years ago, you were regularly posting on some obscure East Coast forum and said that you were an exotic dancer here in Hawaii, at a club near one of the military bases. Doesn't sound right to me. Do they allow teenage girls to dance in those kinds of establishments?

For example, a comment by "alice" on the Jacksonville, North Carolina forums, in which she talks about working as an exotic dancer:
http://www.topix.com/forum/city/jacksonville-...

Follow the thread to see more of her comments about her alleged dancing job.

Also note the following post from a Topix editor on the same forum:

More from "alice" about her supposed stripper job in another thread from Jacksonville, NC.

http://www.topix.net/forum/city/broadway-nc/T...

If you really care to find out more about this character, just follow the thread backward or forward. "She" posts on other mainland forums as well.

You are obsessing about this, right? It's really got you by the short hairs?
You might want to think about the world of virtual life. If Alice wants to be who she says she is, that's her business, not yours.
Why do you think we should take you for anything but someone who won't post his own name?

Amazing how some folks get obsessive about these things. Alice doesn't engage; she does write some of the darnedest things, but don't we all?

Alice doesn't engage. Instead she wallpapers! I have seen times when almost every recent post on SB Topix is hers. I'm not sure how she does it, because I don't think she's that bright, but it gets tiresome and on those occassions when she has new batteries i usually just turn the site off.

It's just possible that she was hired to do that to add to the traffic. I don't mind her, no more than I mind Joe the Vocal Presider. Both have a presence here. It would be dull without 'em, with us guys carrying on like the McLaugh-in Group all the time.

I don't see it like that. She just vocalizes what every radical liberal feels, but they would never expose themselves as the kooks the rest of us know they are. Every time she comes out with her whacky stuff I think, " Damn, that's what (fill in your neighborhood kook liberal's name) said just the other day." UH is pumping out more "Alices" every year.
