I've been gone form the islands for 15 years and lately I've been hearing all kinds of **** going on nowdays. What the heck is wrong with this place anymore? It's becoming like the mailand...people ask if I'll ever go back home. Haha..why? It'll be like staying in the mainland. I just cannot believe it..wow! If not drugs, it's ignorant drivers. The only thing that I miss is the authenticity of the food. That's it...not really proud of anything else today.

The real sad part is when this driver gets caught, he's only going to get a few years behind bars, at most, and be allowed on bail for a minimal amount. 99% chance his driver's license wont even be permanently revoked. This is a sad State we live in that protects criminals.

Condolence to his family and friends. This is a cowardly act like his dad says. I have a son who's 19 and worry about his well being when he goes out. Some people nowadays disregard life and have no guilt feelings of what they've done. An eye-for-an-eye when this person gets outed! Could've saved his life if the driver stopped for aid.

HPD and the state should be held liable. Hit and runs are increasing because people know the punishment is less "after the fact". Cops and legislators know this but stop short of doing anything in case they should need to Hit and Run. It is out of control.

Another pedestrian KILLED! There ought to be a law.... This kind of accidents are getting insane. Hawaii needs to step up the punishment for hit and run laws. Automatic 10 year jail time with no parole for using a vehicle as a weapon in a manslaughter event. People just don't care how they drive or what they hit and this has got to stop. I feel sorry for the Aldridge family and hope they get that driver of that vehicle that struck young Aldrige.
