Woman charged in child's beating

Get behind closed doors and people 'change'. A 'beautiful person' doesnt do this to a child.

It did say that the child died, quess they made a mistake. This woman have some issues that need to be addressed along with jail time.

Unless we read two different articles, the DP stated she was treated for nine days. It never mentioned she died. Posters said she died. I asked the same question myself yesterday.

She can't be too much of a "beautiful person"......beautiful people don't beat folks! This woman was her godmother.....that's a shame! My thoughts & prayers are with the little girl and her family.

They should hold her head in the toilet and beat her with a belt buckle!!!

If she was such a "beautiful" person, what made her snap and beat this child, then shove her head into the toilet? The beating had to be bad enough to leave open wounds that could get infected. If she just lost it and beat the child, why didn't she get her help? Someone who was truly apologetic would not have allowed that baby to get sepsis and toxic shock. How sad. I hope we find out why she did that.

Does it really matter at this point whay she did it? I mean, in my human opinion you've got to be pretty sick to harm one of GOD"S most innocent creatures, children. Still though, in spite of my human thoughts of something so inhumane the only thing left for this person is to be judged by GOD not humans. It really doesn't matter. She's got to live with that inside of her forever! SAD so SAD

Her court-appointed attorney will get her off "by reason of insanity" or convicted of a lesser charge and she'll be among us again. And because the courts won't do their job, we'll wait patiently for a few years for this 9 year old to learn from her troubled upbringing and get revenge on her godmother. She, in turn, will be found not guilty by reason of insanity and the cycle will repeat itself.

Does the girl live with this woman? Did the girls parents not notice that she had been beaten with a belt, leaving open wounds? There are so many questions I am left wondering after reading this article...Did the school not know about these injuries? The girl had to be complaining about them, especially the in the week following the incident. If she did this, this woman is a monster. Bad people don't always appear to be bad. Jeffery Dalmer seemed completely normal....yet he was a serial killer. I knew a kid in high school who ended up killing his girlfriend and going to jail for murder. I never would've guessed. But bad people don't come with a identifying mark to make them stand out. This proves we cannot judge a book by it's cover.

I too, am wonder where the girl's mother was. The article said she was staying with her for several days...and was admitted to the hospital the day after Christmas? Why was she not with her family at Christmas? The kids were out of school, so you can't say "why didn't the school notice", plus, a lot of times their hands are tied as well when it comes to reporting abuse. My heart breaks for this child, and if her mom "dumped her" to party or "do her on thing" I hope she too, is held accountable and charged as well!!

a good mother knows when her child is in danger, its just an instinct and, every good mother has it. just like women enterwishing. so that tells you the mother didn't spend much time with her child anyway. I would love the see this women put away for a long time, with her fellow inmates.

TOOSHAY!! WHERE IN HELL WAS MOM? I WOULD BE LOCKED AWAY FOREVER IF MY CHILD CAME HOME LIKE THAT. Abuse comes in all forms, she is the devil. That poor baby girl probably didnt know if she was going to live or die. For not finishing her food. I hope the girls in jail take real good care of that TRIFE.
