it should have been clear to all that the d.t. is supporting the far left! review the coverage of the news media... slanted!!!! i am not surprised!!!! so no more can the media be taken as neutral and unbiased....as technology improves we need to less depend on the paper media and start using the pc to catergorize biased news reporting from all sources.
we can shut off the far left media or whatever and that means all the small business joe the plumbers withdraw their ads and form their own means of advertisements via the internet.....joes get busy and pull the plug! |

to dad i did know the answer but i wonder how much you know about G. Gordon Liddy. He was a domestic terrorist as well. The only difference was that he was CONVICTED!!! John McCain and Gordon Liddy are BFF ( best friends forever to steal a quote from my daughter)
I d also like to point out that Ayers comments while not very PC is A. Published on 9/11/2001 not as you'd have everyone believe, said on 9/11 B. Completely taken out of context in that the Weather Underground's mission was to STOP WAR!!! Granted they went about it in the wrong way but in the 80s Reagan was the one that preached peace through war. Also when these things took place Obama was 8 years old and had NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!! A Lot of time had passed since those unfortunate events. Ayers had turned his life around and was trying to do good. But because the party leaders decided to label Obama a terrorist you can easily ignore the obvious. The only reason they decided to go this way is because policy wise they have nothing to offer so they figure if they can scare enough people that wont do research for themselves McCain just may have a chance. Same with the socialist label. Had McCain come out and said we need to secure the border he might have had my vote... instead he offers amnesty and we might get around to figuring out who we have in the country. Let me close with a question... if 10 to 15 million Chinese or Russians showed up on the shore would that be an invasion? |

Its funny that your link shows a pic of Osama Bin Laden Because in seven years we have been unable to catch the worlds biggest terrorist. What even worse is that I know people in their early 20s that think Saddam Hussien planned and executed the 9/11 attacks

McCant lovers needs to go on with life. The days are limited and we'll see what the results will be. Until then you whiners need to get people to vote for McCant so your candidate can win. You people need to stop living in fear. That's the reason why people around the world dislike America.

First off it was MORE THEN EXPECTED for the Daily Times to support Barry....
Second as fas as B.O goes, if he gets elected we're going to see what real rock bottom is all about. For those Americans who value your rights be mindful that B.O. has already made attempts to take them away (with his voting record) for those Americans who still believe in the dream look at Pelosi and Franks to see what the Dems want to do to it (taking over you 401Ks because the gov't can do it better? Just like they have done with social security?) I f you argue that this has nothing to do with B.O. then your argument of McCain and Bush is null and void.... The great Dem motto of no more the same is ludicrous... how many Dems voted with Bush? How many support the war before they were against it? How many supported the tax cuts and the stimulus package? During a presidency that more than 80% of had a Democrat Congress? B.O. has illustrated his ideals "Spread The Wealth" and "Tax the Rich"... These are simple truths... I have stated many times in threads on this sight that I am not crazy about McCain but believe that he at least loves this country and has made sacrifices and serivce to that end. B.O. has minimal history and what little there is is very contradictory to the ideals that estabilished this country and made it great. -He has no history running a business but states what he will make businesses better through increased taxation and required medical insurance for all employees and hopes to increase the number of "good" jobs. Which if, anyone knows business and economics, is contradictory. One of two things will happen as a result 1) Business will only pass on the added expense of operating to the customer/client increasing costs.... which is inflation which is contradictory to a better economy or 2) the new expenses will be absorbed by the business but the money will have to made up from somewhere which will either result in the loss of current jobs or not increasing future positions. Either contradictory to a healthy economy. - He has stated the he is pro gun ownership yet he has voted for every gun control legislstion during his short tenure in congress. - His history after graduating High School is sketchy at best. While McCain went into service for his country, B.O. went abroad to places like India, Kenya and Pakistan. His "professional ties" upon returning to this country include radical muslim and domestic terrorists... the economics of his life style, colleges and campaigns do not add up. - The people most influential in his life, by is own words, his wife and reverend have expressed both racist and anti-american views... - By his own words he does not like caucasians, yet he is not labeled a racist. If a caucasian states that they do not like a person for their skin color are they not rightfully labelled racist? I am by no means asking anything more then for you to: 1) Research each candidates record and standings for this country and the American people. & 2) To not hold one candidate accountable for their associations if you will not hold both candidates accountable for their associations. I love my country. I served in the Armed Forces and I serve in my community now because of that love. Thank You for reading |

I love the USA, not McCain, and I don't live in fear, but I do fear for the future of our Country if Obama is elected. As for why or why not other countries dislike us is very simple, "our" Government has a bad tendency of sticking its nose in other peoples affairs, and this is Democratic/Republican together. Sometimes I agree, other times I don't, but ask yourself a simple question: If Obama would be so great for the USA, then why (as openly published) do the main terrorist groups we are fighting so hard to stop, "openly" put word out that they greatly look forward to the elections and that they stand behind Obama in support? why? |

The Weathermen's goal was not to stop the Vietnam war, it was to bring down the US government and replace it with a communist one. They planned to achieve this by allying themselves with the Black power movement. Ayers has not turned his life around. He still holds the same beliefs he always has. He is an admitted Marxist and anarchist and his goal is not to do good unless creating new generations of Marxists and anarchists is good. |

I'm voting Democrat because: I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.
I'm voting Democrat because: I believe white people need to spend their time at the back of the bus. I'm voting Democrat because: I believe three or four pointy-headed elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters. I'm voting Democrat because: I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't. I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that paying $4.00 a gallon or more is no reason to drill for the mountain of oil we are sitting on in THIS country. We wouldn't want to have to move a couple of Polar bears now would we? I'm voting Democrat because: when we pull out of Iraq, I trust that the bad guys will stop what they're doing because they now think we're good people. I'm voting Democrat because: I like it when planes fly into buildings full of civilians. I want to see more of that. I'm voting Democrat because: I don't want a stimulus check to spend. Let the government spend it for me. I'm voting Democrat because: freedom of speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it. I'm voting Democrat because: I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I'm going to marry my cat. I'm voting Democrat because: I'm not concerned about the slaughter of millions of babies so long as we keep all death row inmates alive. I'm voting Democrat because: I don't want to eat poison food and drink dirty water. We all know Republicans love that stuff. Ever wonder why the most left wing country in the World (China ) is the most polluted? I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that when the terrorists don't have to hide from us over there, when they come over here I don't want to have any guns in the house to fight them off with. I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that churches should only be allowed for political speeches. I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the employees. I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that I don't want Doctors who were at the top of their classes to operate on me. I want a government employee who makes $50k a year and couldn't hack it as a contractor or an engineer. I'm voting Democrat because: I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday CAN tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius. I'm voting Democrat because: I REALLY believe there is no bias in the media. I'm All for CHANGE!! |

Mr. Editor,
Where in the world have you been, hard to beleive a Editor the size of a paper as large as the Daily Times would not be informed. For Your Information Gov. Palin, has been a City Councilwoman, Operated a private business, and elected a Alaskan Governor, the most popular governor in the United States, no way can Obama or Biden match this experience. Will never again be able to take you Editorial's seriously. |

Thanks for the backup "MCFMN", this whole election process has absolutely stymied my opinion of logic and reasoning within our Citizens. I too agree that Obama was only 8 years old when these things happened, but when you swear an oath to serve the best interest of the USA (even as a Senator)as an adult, how and why can you a person in good faith and judgement be friends with and work together with someone of Ayers type. I would ask anyone out there, if you knew your neighbor was an admitted murderer or terrorist, and that he still openly refuses to believe that the things he did was wrong, would you still go knock on that persons door and invite them over to your home to share dinner with you and your family? I think NOT!!!! The only reason a person could in clear consciense socialize with a person of this type is if they are either too naive to understand the consequences, or they relate to that person on certain issues and philosophies, either way, I don't think we need that type of logic leading our Country! Thanks again! |

Really, my lack of research? How about the research of several of our Countries greatest news publications! lol They have continued to say that even after offering millions in compensation, they can not find out a single thing about his college years! but research has given everyone ample reason to; if nothing more, question Obamas full intentions. As for his publications, thank you for bringing that up as well, would these books be the ones with the following excerpts: From Dreams of My Father:'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.' From Dreams of My Father :'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.' From Dreams of My Father:'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.' From Dreams of My Father:'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.' From Dreams of My Father:'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.' And how about the best excerpt of all: From Audacity of Hope:'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.' Great Presidential Qualities huh? |

Here's some good ol' country boy logic I just thought of:
Up to this point in the election process, Through his amazing communication skills, Obama has gingerly and slickly attempted to shove his beliefs down our throats, and for those of you who have chosen to bury your heads in the sand and refuse to listen to the other side, if your heads in the sand, then your butts up in the air and thats exactly where were all gonne get it if Obama's elected! lol |
