My wife and I stayed there overnight one day in 2007, it was called "Rodeway Inn" then. We live here in Farmington and went for an overnight getaway.

The room was was not very clean. We took the bedspread off the bed because it appeared to be badly stained. We hoped it had been washed at least, but now we have our doubts.

There was lots of dust, and the bathroom appeared to have only gotten a cursory "once over". I remember picking up trash from behind the toilet.

What's more, the management claimed they were putting in new spa tubs, but we must have gotten a room with one of the old ones, because the motor that ran the air pump sounded like a lawn mower engine. I would have been suprised if anyone in adjecent rooms could have slept with that thing running.

We reported the conditions to the manager on duty, a female, and got a $10 refund off a $55 room.

Overall, it was not a good experience, and I knew then I could never recommend the place or ever go back. Apparently, lots of people feel the same way, and stuff like this has been going on for a long time.

Sure, it appears the managers are primarily to blame for the day to day problems down there, but where were the owners?

"To my knowledge we received no complaints of bedbugs," Amish Patel said when contacted after the most recent incident. "I never spoke to them. We moved them to different rooms and they were happy."

If, to his knowledge, they never received complaints...how is he so sure the customers were moved to different rooms and happy with the arrangement? He says he never spoke to them. So, how does he know they were happy?

something fishy here...

That's nasty now they didn't even care about the bed bugs. And they were there for about a year. The days inn should be shut down or cleaned really good so that other visitors didn't get bitten

The trouble with bed bugs is that you can carry them home with you and they end up in your house and your bed too. They are nasty things to get rid of too. They multipy real fast.

Between this incident and those that occured during the National High School Rodeo I am ashamed and appaled that there are people who run their businesses in this manner and stay in business. Our business is one that relies on happy customers, return business, and word of mounth. I want everyone to know that there are great hotels in this area and if Days Inn is not prepared to make it right I will. Anyone that was effected by either of these events can come to Bloomfield and find clean rooms, a courteous staff, and a discount.

The Patels are fired. Thank goodness. I don't think any one family inhistory has given Farmington as bad a black eye as this one.

Close them down!! When they get it cleaned up then they should have to a pass a inspection like restuarants do. It'll teach them! It was pry one of the same hotels that booked rooms for ppl who paid with credit cards for the High School rodeo, and then uped their price!

Not only did this happen at Days Inn a simular incident happend at the Region Inn. Our Wedding guests and party stayed there in July of 2007 and one of them got bit and was told she probrably got brought the bugs from somewhere else she had taken pictures unfortuately she lives in Michigan and was not able to follow through on the charges. My son also went to watch television and grabbed a pillow turned it over and it was black it looked like mold, I went to complaint ot the front desk and they insisted it was not mold and said they were not going to give us a refund. I spoke to the manager over the phone and she advised she could not give us a full refund that she would give us 10% refund. Needless to say our out of town wedding guests were not very impressed with the handling of the local business here.

They bomb the room, let it set for 24 hours then rerent it out, and do not care if the bugs get transfered to other rooms when they guests are moved. A friend of mine used to work their as a cleaning lady, and brought bedbugs home off her uniform.

It's a growing problem, and has been for over 5 years!
